Good food spoilt by front of house.
Probably the oldest Indian Restaurant left in Bromley's Town Centre. It used to be our favourite Indian Restaurant 30 years ago. After a long absence we have returned there a couple of times in the last few months. The food was enjoyable but stingy on portions. The front of house is awful: unwelcoming staff, tired furnishings and empty with no atmosphere. Warning: as soon as you are seated, they ask you if you want poppadoms and serve them with chutneys before handing you the menu. They charged us about £3 per head for chutneys on top of charging for the poppadoms which we have never experienced in other Indian Restaurants. When we queried the bill, they were unapologetic and did not offer to adjust it. Sent some feedback via their web site but no response came back. They've given up and, therefore, so have we!...

The service was also excellent: the staff were attentive, polite, and eager to ensure we had a good experience.
However, we were a bit disappointed with the food. While the dishes were presented nicely and arrived promptly, the flavors did not reflect authentic Indian cuisine. Many items on the menu seemed more aligned with Bangladeshi-style cooking, which may not meet the expectations of those specifically looking for genuine Indian flavors and spice profiles.

BUT NOT FROM HERE, he shouts to the heavens
The dishes we ordered were nothing short of superb.
There was plenty of chunky meats in our meat dishes. The three rice dishes were fresh and tasted as they should. The lemon rice was gorgeous. Even the nambread was unique.
Now, the only question one would ask is this... We ordered on a Tuesday night. Do they deliver the same kind of quality on a busy night. Time...
