Great Atmosphere, But The Signature Falooda and Inconsistent Service Need Major Improvement recently visited Arya Bhavan based on its fantastic atmosphere and reputation, but unfortunately, the experience- specifically the dessert and the service execution-fell short of expectations.
Atmosphere (5/5 Stars) The restaurant's ambiance is truly its strongest asset. The interior is modern, bright, and very inviting. The seating is comfortable, and the decor, including the stylish lighting fixtures, gives it a premium feel. It's an excellent space for relaxed meal, and ful credit goes to the management for creating such a pleasant dining environment.
Service (2/5 Stars) This was the most problematic part of our visit. While the staff was generally polite, the operational execution was poor and exhibited noticeable inconsistencies: 1. Order Confusion & Delays: After placing our order at the table, a different server approached us about 10 minutes later asking if we had already ordered. This suggests that the initial order was either not promptly entered or was completely lost in the system, forcing us to wait even longer. We waited an unacceptable 25 minutes in total just for a simple dessert, the Special Falooda. The initial hustle to take the order did not match the effort to deliver it quickly. 2. Inconsistent Prioritization: While we were waiting, we observed a lady (who appeared to be part of the management, working on reports on a laptop in a corner) leave her duties to serve a particular table twice. With multiple servers and a floor manager present, seeing a manager-level person prioritize a single table over ensuring all other customers' long-delayed orders (like ours) were being processed quickly gave a distinct feeling of favoritism or misplaced priorities, which did not feel good. The combined issues of order loss/delay and the perceived inconsistent attention significantly detracted from the experience.
Food- The Special Falooda (2s Stars) This is where the product itself was most disappointing. We specifically chose the costliest falooda on the menu, the "Special Falooda" (priced at £7.95), expecting a truly premium and substantial dessert worthy of the price. 1. Cheap Presentation: The dessert was served in a cheap-feeling plastic cuplglass, which was surprising and frankly disappointing given the premium ambiance of the restaurant and the price of the item.It felt likea low-cost takeaway item rather than a premium, sit-down dining experience. 2. False Filling: The cup seemed strategically packed tO create the illusion of fullness. It was dominated by large pieces of cut fruit and minimal ice cream at the top, which takes up a lot of space. There was a significant lack of the core components of a great faloodathe actual milk, sabja (basil seeds), and sevai (vermicelli)-needed to deliver the rich, traditional flavor. It felt like a "false hope" dessert, more focused on height and volume than quality and substance. The overall result was an item that did not justify the high price point or the "Special" designation on the menu.
Overall (2/5 Stars) While the atmosphere is top-notch, the combination of extremely slow/confused service, perceived inconsistent customer prioritization, and the poor value of the signature dessert significantly brought down the final score. If Arya Bhavan could improve their operational efficiency and ensure their higher-priced menu items are served with premium presentation and genuine substance, the overall dining experience would truly match the excellent atmosphere. hope this constructive feedback helps the team make necessary...

Our experience in this restaurant was atrocious from start to finish
We ordered 2 chana bhature, one masala dosa, baby corn 65 and a veggie Hakka noodles.
The food took a long time to arrive. The Chana Bhature came out first. The Chole were tinned Chole and mixed in a butter masala gravy- not authentic of typical Chole sabji. By the time we received the veggie Hakka noodles the rest of us had finished our chana bhature.
The manager also had a poor attitude. On the menu next to each items, allergens are listed in brackets. My sister order the veggie Hakka noodles as she did not want this with onions- next to the veggie Hakka noodles is listed a (J) which universally means this is a Jain dish. When you go to McDonald’s and it states (V) next to a burger you automatically know this will be suitable for vegetarian- you don’t need to ask. The dish arrived with spring onions. We asked the waiter we did not want onions and it had a (J) listed next to this so should not have been added. The waiter then asked the manager to speak to us.
The manager was a male person- very rude and arrogant. He stated it was our fault and in his own words ‘ I have 4 branches I know what I am talking about’. He did not offer to replace the dish at all so we cancelled the order.
My sister was left hungry and due to it being late at night we tried to order another set of noodles ourselves as a take away without onions.
THE MANAGER REFUSED to make another portion of noodles even though we stated we would pay for this. He then claims he did offer to replace the dish initially but we cancelled the order. To reiterate the manager DID NOT offer to make another noodle dish initially and walked off when we initially tried to relay our concerns.
I could not believe the manager was displaying this kind of behaviour especially during navratri.
If you read the rest of the reviews on this page the replies are all the same - copy and pasted and claims they will take this feedback on board which clearly the restaurant has not.
I wish the manager all the best in running his four branches as he clearly is not doing a very good job of it and has poor customer service skills.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who wishes to attend. There are plenty of other choices in Wembley/Ealing where your custom...

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at arya Bhavan, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. From start to finish, the service was abysmal, the food was late, and the entire experience left much to be desired.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a disinterested host who seemed overwhelmed and unorganized. After a lengthy wait for our table—despite having a reservation—we were finally seated, only to be ignored for several minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. When our server finally approached, they seemed rushed and reluctant to answer our questions about the menu.
After placing our orders, we expected a reasonable wait time for our food. However, we waited over 45 minutes just for appetizers! When they finally arrived, they were lukewarm and lacked flavor. It was clear that the kitchen was either understaffed or poorly managed, as we noticed other tables also experiencing long delays.
As our hunger grew, we remained optimistic about the main courses. Unfortunately, this optimism was short-lived. Another long wait ensued, and when the food finally arrived, half of the orders were incorrect. My partner received a completely different dish, and my own meal was cold and unappetizing. When we brought this to the server’s attention, they seemed indifferent, simply offering to have the correct dish made without any apology or urgency.
At this point, our excitement had turned into disappointment. We attempted to flag down the manager, but they were nowhere to be found. It was clear that customer service was not a priority here. After what felt like an eternity, we finally decided to cut our losses and asked for the check—only to discover that we had been charged for the incorrect dish as well!
Leaving restaurant felt like a relief. It’s hard to believe that a restaurant could manage to miss the mark on so many levels. I would strongly advise anyone thinking about dining here to reconsider. There are countless other establishments that prioritize their customers and serve quality food. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment—avoid [Restaurant Name]...
