We had reservations for Tuesday, July 12th at 8 pm and got seated right away even with the restaurant being packed. We were sat next to the front door and the manager was welcoming and friendly and checked in to see if we wanted a better table but we opted to stay at our originally table for 2.

We were able to order right away and the pasta and pizza were delicious however it took around 25 minutes for our beer and wine to initially arrive and our server nor anyone else ever checked back in after ordering the food. We would have liked to get some dessert and another round of drinks but it just wasn't an option even with mentioning ealier to our server that we would like to order desert.

It was hard not to notice that multiple tables around us had their cards out and they all looked to be having a hard time with getting/paying their checks which was the same issue we later experiened. After we finished our tasty food and drinks we had to wait a decent amount of time before we were able to get our server's attention even though he kept walking directly next to our table. Even though we specifically asked for the check, our server never brought it and we couldn't really understand why getting the check was so hard. I eventually had to go to the counter and waited some time before I could ask again for the check and another server finally came through. Our server apologized on the way out.

The food and ambience were great however if I returned it would only be for carryout due to the struggle with getting the bill, waiting 25 minutes for a beer, and not being able to order another round of...

Our first visit here was great. We came again for dinner on Christmas eve. Things were fine until the penne arrabbiata. It was overtly salty and we told a random waiter who said it was because we added freshly cracked black pepper? We told him it was too salty and had it redone. He took it downstairs and quickly came back up with a plate that looked the same just more tossed up. This was really extremely dodgy as all the food came from a kitchen presumably up top and all other food we had also came from the same floor NOT downstairs. We didn’t see any other food being brought up from downstairs where the toilets are located. It really did ruin the meal as it felt slightly unsanitary and overall dodgy.

Our original waiter who first served us our food was amazing and cancelled the order for us.

Edit response: Thank you for the clarification but the misunderstanding stemming from the waiter who originally responded to our concerns was what merited this review. The way that they mentioned black pepper as what caused the saltiness?? And as a customer it seemed relatively reasonable to have questionable assumptions of the food when we saw the server bring it up from below after seemingly disregarding our concerns about it when no other food was bought up via the stairs.

I really did enjoy my first experience at this restaurant. Thank you for the complimentary shot and for cancelling the order (we couldn’t eat it) but it was the prior actions that warranted this review. Our server at the end who cancelled the order was amazing as i did mentioned...

Nonna Selena is an absolute gem! From the moment you step through the door, you're transported to a cozy corner of Italy, complete with a warm atmosphere and authentic vibes that make you feel right at home.

The first thing that struck me about Nonna Selena is the inviting ambiance. The dimmed lights, rustic decor, and soft Italian music in the background create an incredibly warm and intimate setting, perfect for a romantic dinner or a family gathering. It's a place where you can unwind and savor your meal without any rush.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food! Nonna Selena's menu is a gastronomic journey through Italy. I've had the pleasure of trying the bruschetta, and it's the perfect balance of crispy bread, fresh tomatoes, and the finest olive oil. The pizza had that mouthwatering crust that's so hard to find outside Italy. The pasta dishes were a revelation, with the lasagna tasting like a piece of Italy on a plate.

The service at Nonna Selena is exceptional. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, ready to guide you through the menu and recommend the perfect wine pairing. They genuinely make you feel like an honored guest in their own home.

Dining at Nonna Selena is an experience you won't forget. The food is divine, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the overall authenticity of the place is hard to come by. This restaurant is a true culinary gem, and I can't recommend it enough. Whether you're a connoisseur of Italian cuisine or just looking for a wonderful night out, Nonna Selena is the place to be....
