From the moment I called to make our reservation, Nono's exceeded all expectations. Looking for a halal-friendly spot to break our fast during Ramadan, I was immediately impressed with how helpful Klodi was on the phone. Not only did he secure our table, but he went above and beyond by letting us pre-order our food to ensure everything would be ready precisely at iftar time. I had to call back twice to adjust our order, and each time Klodi was incredibly accommodating, particularly with suggesting halal alternatives for certain dishes.
When we arrived at the restaurant (baby in tow!), our host (Deni) noticed our stroller and thoughtfully switched us to a more accessible table without us even asking. What truly touched me was how mindful they were of our fasting - they brought water just before iftar and waited until they saw us take our first sips before serving our food. Such cultural awareness is rare and deeply appreciated.
The food itself? Absolutely spectacular! My wife and I shared the lamb skewer and beef moussaka. The lamb was perfectly tender, juicy and seasoned just right - each bite melted in my mouth. The moussaka was a delicious surprise - beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. What impressed me most was how each ingredient's natural taste shone through without being masked by excessive spices.
Our entire group left thoroughly satisfied with both the meal and service. From booking to the final bite, Nono's delivered an exceptional experience. Five stars doesn't seem enough - this place deserves every bit of praise! A true gem for anyone seeking authentic Greek cuisine with halal options in Euston.
Special thanks to Klodi for making our booking process so smooth, to Deni for her attentive and thoughtful service, and particularly to the chef whose culinary talents turned our iftar into an...
Read moreThis location was te one by a friend is maybe my expectations were a bit to high. My plan was to travel through the menu and indulge myself for getting stuk at St Pancras. Got my reserved table right away and after 5 min the Juqi came to take my order. I ordered a glass of rose (which she tried to upgrade but I prefer two glasses against one that is overloaded), some tapwater and marinated seafood. The seafood arrived after 5 min and because I did not got my drinks after 5 more minutes I requested them again. Now I got the rose but not the water. For that I had to remind them another time. The seafood was nice and tender, not chewy and not too sour. After that my apetite was rising and I ordered the charcoal grilled aubergine. This took5 minutes again. It had a nice Smokey flavour, not to much molasses and I would have like a bit more feta but it was a nice combination. I ordered another rose and dolmades. This time the wine arrived right away and the dolmades a few minutes afterwards. These were a disappointment. No flavour from the vine leaves and no aroma from fresh mind and/or dill. It tasted like small packages of porridge. After that I was not hungry anymore and ordered an espresso to close it. The payment was a surprise as well. As the waitress offered me the pin machine and asked me if I wanted to add a service charge. I decided to ad 10% for her friendliness, however, at home I discovered that there was already a 12,5% service charge on the printed invoice! My learning that I should have know already: always check the invoice. Sorry to say I’m not...
Read moreAround 22:15 on a spontaneous Friday night last week, we found ourselves stepping into the world of Nonos. If you're in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and drop by. The service was top-notch, the drinks were crafted to perfection, and the desserts were nothing short of divine.
The place boasts two floors, with the basement offering a cozy retreat. On our next visit, we're definitely claiming a spot downstairs.
Our drink order was a delightful mix of Mythos beer and a couple of their signature cocktails. The Mythos was a first for me, and according to our table neighbors, it's a superior cousin to Heineken. Agree with the comparison! I did inquire whether the Dionysus cocktail was ordered more by men or women. To my amusement (and to the server) mine was adorned with flowers upon delivery. She had a good laugh as she set it down - a memorable moment for both I’m sure!
Despite the late hour, we indulged in a small plate of hummus, flatbread/pita, and of course, dessert. The hummus was a revelation, easily one of the best we've ever had. For dessert, we were treated to trilece cake and baklava. If only they were calorie-free, they would be the epitome of perfection.
I don't say this lightly, but Nonos served up some of the best food we had in London. The only contender that comes close is The Sloane Club in Chelsea.
We don’t have many photos outside of the flower adorned cocktail, but Moses...
