I recently had the pleasure of visiting "The Dolphin" pub in London, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
One of the highlights of our visit was the fantastic quality of their Fosters beer. The beer was served chilled and had a refreshing taste that was perfect for a warm summer evening. It was evident that the staff took pride in maintaining the quality of their beverages, and it greatly added to our enjoyment of the pub.
In addition to the great beer, we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional taste of their ceviche. The combination of fresh fish, zesty citrus flavors, and aromatic herbs made for a truly delightful culinary experience. The ceviche was expertly prepared and showcased the chef's skill in balancing flavors and textures. It was undoubtedly one of the best ceviche dishes we have ever had.
What truly stood out to me about The Dolphin was their exceptional customer service. They were incredibly understanding and accommodating towards my grandmother, who does not speak English. The staff went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable, patiently assisting her with the menu and ensuring she had an enjoyable dining experience. This level of thoughtfulness and understanding towards non-English speaking customers was truly commendable and made us appreciate the pub even more.
The overall ambiance of The Dolphin was inviting and relaxed. It was a perfect place to unwind and spend time with friends or family. The pub had a pleasant interior with a traditional British pub charm, providing a welcoming environment for all visitors.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend The Dolphin pub. The excellent quality of Fosters beer, the incredibly tasty ceviche, and the outstanding customer service, especially towards non-English speakers, make it a standout choice in London. Whether you're looking for a refreshing drink, a delicious meal, or a place to socialize, The Dolphin will exceed your...
Read moreI've tolerated this pub due to the atmosphere that the Newcastle United fan group are able to create on match day - it's as close to watching it up north as you'll find here in London, but the pub itself is just awful and the landlord doesn't deserve the devotion that the fans have given it over the last few seasons.
The pub itself is a time capsule from the 60s, maybe you can call that "charm", but considering how much they charge (ÂŁ6.50 for an alcohol free can of Guinness) and how much money goes behind the bar every match day, you'd think the staff could crack a smile - nope, it's closer to resentment and rudeness. I think in an economy where pubs struggle and close everyday they should thank their lucky stars that the Newcastle fans have adopted this spot to watch the games.

Read moreVery average pub with very good Thai food, The Dolphin is off the beaten track, just through a path from Euston Road.
The pub looks nondescript from the outside and even more plain on the inside. We didn't exactly get a friendly welcome, more indifferent than anything.
It felt like we'd walked into someone's lounge and as we walked through to the back room, we got the same feeling. Just one guy watching a cop show on the TV in the corner.
A friendly waiter arrived and we ordered 4 mains plus starters and it arrived quickly. My vegetarian pad thai was lovely, probably the 2nd best I've had in London.
Everyone else had equally pleasurable experiences but the best was yet to come as the bill came to ÂŁ36! Good food at very cheap prices mean that this is definitely worth venturing away from the usual spots in Kings...
