*Greek person review - Went there last night.
The atmosphere of the place was lovely. The man who served us was extremely nice and sweet; couldn’t say the same about the woman though.
I ordered kleftiko- they served me stifado. It wasn’t bad so I ate it. My partner chose the lemon sole and it was borderline awful- swimming in oil. That dish costs £15.50 and we didn’t eat it. No Greek chef would ever allow this dish to leave their kitchen- no waiter should accept to serve it.
The lady came, didn’t ask how the food was and simply took the plates. We waited for her to even ask how it was/why we didn’t eat and she didn’t give us a word. Before even the payment got through she was literally walking away with no word! It was disappointing as we saw her being extremely sweet and attentive to others.
I wouldn’t visit again after this disappointing experience. For Greek standards this is not a good place and this is certainly not the image I wanted my partner to form about Greek...
Read moreThe food was vinegary, no other word for it. Not only did the Kleftiko gravy taste of it, the Taramasalata tasted tart and not in the least authentic, as did the Feta cheese on the salad. None of it tasted freshly cooked. It looked sad and worn out.
Far too much cheap red wine in the Steak Diane spoiled the whole dish. Vinegary. Either use a good red wine or cook off some of the alcohol.
The Sirloin steak was so dry I could have used it to mend a hole in my shoe. The accompanying fries were cooked hours ago and redipped by the looks of them.
