Thai Upon Thames — Restaurant in London

I ordered food from This place as a take away last Saturday on my break and work. I ordered chicken satay skewers, red Thai Curry and Sticky rice. I ended up with food poisoning, the red curry was more like yellow curry and was not the best, I didn’t even it all I threw it in the bin anyway before I felt Ill. I had to leave work early as I was Ill with the food and because I work in hospitality I had to be off work for 48 hours because of the diarrhoea. Therefore not only did I get sick but also lost pay. I complained to Deliveroo about this and they just said sorry and said we will refund you the money you paid and they would contact the restaurant. Up until now I haven’t heard back from Deliveroo or the restaurant. I think when hospitality especially has been hit hard from the pandemic we need to try and keep customers and put things right. Definitely recommend the food at Thai Upon Thames! Five of us went for a family dinner, shared a couple of mixed platters for starters. We were immediately impressed with the quality, nice light batter and good standard for all the items on the platters. For mains we tried a variety of dishes, from traditional Pad Thai, Minced Chicken with Chilli & Thai Basil to a couple of more unusual dishes, Slow cooked Pork Belly and Lamb Massaman Roti. Very disappointing experience. Why there is no option for me to leave ZERO star for this restaurant.

When you saw the shop manager keep sent out the Deliveroo food but you sat on your place and waiting your main dish for 1 hour 20 minutes? I don’t think you will be happy.

Food finally come after 1 hour 25 mins when we keep chasing. Food was too salty and too spicy. I ate many Thai food, this was the worst food I ever try before.

At the end the manager did not come to apologize to us, not even said a word to us.

I am sure I won’t come to this...
