Palace Grill — Restaurant in London

Avoid this place like the Covid virus if you value your health. Even the rats in the sewers would not eat the food they cook. The business has been sold on four times since the original owners had it and i can only say that the current owner and staff couldn't careless about the standard of food and quality they are selling to the public. On three separate occasions the same member of staff has incorrectly cooked my food including over cooking nuggets that you could smash a window with which was rock hard. The final straw was recently ordering two kebabs meals for myself and my neighbours to only get home and find out the kebabs were stone cold and the pitta bread rock hard you could break your teeth on it if you tried to eat it. The Kebab was not even cooked at the right temperature as I question even if the staff actually put the grill on at all. The incompetence is beyond measure with the staff and current owner given the first owner's ran the business successfully. Seems the owner more interested in taking customers money and serving food not even fit for animal...

I don't like being too harsh to any business but this place needs a serious overhaul. Firstly, clear communication is a must for any customer facing business. The fella behind the counter seemed pleasant but quite absent. He didn't seem to grasp the English language. That needs work. Can't be living in a country and run a business and not hire people who can speak the language. Secondly, I arrived and nobody was there to serve. I had to call out a few times for him to come. Thirdly, I bought a burger and it seemed grossly small for the price they were charging. However, because he was nice and actually understood to give me the tissue when I asked him. So he seems somewhat competent. Overall, I'm sorry to say it's a dismal experience. Hope the ones in charge see this and make some changes. Otherwise it was a clean place and that is also...

Many times they have given the incorrect change or have kept notes if more cash was provided than intended. They will argue it, but will usually they provide the correct amount if you stick your ground or mention the cameras, but not always.

Food has always been inconsistent, and this last time has been the last straw:

Undercooked chips, burnt chicken, incorrect order, overcharged us (gave £30 for £21.30, given £4 in change then was adamant he gave us the right amount), portion size was incredibly small compared to previous times ordered, and no salads were on the kababs. Took over 40 minutes, additionally, to provide an order for 4 items and the reason for the long time was "to cook the chicken fresh"... despite then burning it.

Won't be ordering again. There's a cheaper place down the road that offers nearly the same for better...
