I like this chain, and noticed that they had opened a new but different operation near Liverpool St. A meeting with a former colleague for dinner provided the opportunity to try it out. First impressions was that there was comfortable seating, in an industrial setting. There was also background music, not bad with the addition of a saxophonist playing along. She was good! However over the evening the noise level got higher and higher making it difficult to hold a conversation. The menu is certainly different and interesting snacks and more substantial food available. We passed on starters and went for the pan fried salmon with green veg, and I had the chicken parmigiana and chips. The was really tasty and well presented. Then onto sweets, interesting mixture on offer. In the end BBQ’d Pineapple with coconut sorbet. But no coconut sorbet, so after a discussion with George the server, he offered strawberry sorbet, we asked for the watermelon, but George came back and advised that this was also not available! So we had to go with the strawberry option. After deserts as we were about to ask for the bill we asked about whether the cafe/cake shop was still open as we fancied taking out some of their Lamingtons. He said no issue he would get a copy of their menu, and we could add this to the bill. Great customer service We ordered five to go, and off went George to get them, unfortunately a number were not available so a quick rejig of the order and we were ready to go. So all in all good service, interesting location, so issues around the food availability (Lamingtons excepted as clearly the later in the day the more likely that they might sell out of a particular option). Also the noise levels can be a challenging O

We had organised a business dinner and had submitted a 20 person preorder over 72 hours ahead of time. The 20 person business dinner was a disaster and would not recommend the restaurant for business dinners. 1) we had one guest that was sick but was forced to still pay for that food order regardless if we had a new person taking over their place. 2) was given a lecture on how our preorder was already “preordered” and planned so it couldn’t be modified. 3) They ran out of 7x items that we did pre order, and did an extremely bad attempt to provide an alternative 4) service was extremely slow, starters were severed 1:30hr after we sat down 5) service was not friendly and defensive 6) fillet steak was cold 7) prawns were over cooked 9) more than half the guests left before the dessert came out 10) the service was lazy, there was a preorder, seating plan given to the servers. Servers still got dishes mixed up and not experienced enough to handle large tables. They insisted on shouting out the order 11) service charge was removed from the bill 12) desserts were removed from final bill 13) one guest left before any food was service as it was too late 14) we arrived 7:30-7:45 and seemed like one of the last tables to be served 15) the manager was full of excuses not apologetic, didn’t admit to any mistakes 16) the kitchen couldn’t cope with the orders 17) the restaurant wasn’t that busy Overall extremely disappointed, would never go back there.

The atmosphere and ambience for dinner was great, especially for a much needed catch-up with a friend. It was great to be able to chat in a not so busy/loud restaurant, likely because it was a Monday evening in the city. Our waiters were smiling, friendly and happy to help, and the service was very prompt. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. I ordered the vegan burger with Koffman fries, and although the fries were very tasty and fresh and was complemented by the cashew cream sauce, the burger fell slightly below my expectations, as the burger bun was cold and I found the proportion of burger filling to be insufficient compared to the bun. As a meat eater, I was impressed with how realistic the oyster mushroom resembled meat, I found this very creative. I am going to assume the cold burger bun situation was a one off, and this is not how it is usually like. Although this is a personal preference, I recommend that there is more filling in the bun. Overall, I think Paradise Green has a beautiful atmosphere with great interior design, and seems like a great place for evening drinks. However, on this occasion I was not too pleased with this particular meal of the vegan burger. Having been to their other branches, The Daisy Green Collection do amazing breakfasts and brunches, so I look forward to visiting Paradise Green for brunch and another time I will try their other dinner mains.

I pre-booked for a weekday work lunch. We arrived on time for 1 .45pm to 100 Bishopsgate, where a hostess who could not possibly look more bored or uninterested told us to go outside and round the back to our table. I had to ask her twice to repeat again as no context was given as to why we would need to leave the place. Eventually she bothered to explain that the place has ‘another half’ at the other side of the building. Would have been good to know in advance. We went round the back where no hostess was there. So i waved for help, told them again why we are there (by then it was the 5th time i had to say we had a booking). Then we were showed a corner table. And then ignored for about 10mins without anybody asking if we wanted to order. After 10mins the lets call her waitress came over and ask ‘what do you want to order’. Given it was our first time, nobody explained the menu talked to us about options or gave us a chance to ask questions. So i said we wanted to order drinks first. So she asked again ‘what do you want’. I told her since we havent seen the drinks menu we dont know yet. Then she reached across the whole table to show me a drink menu that was in front of the only empty seat at our table. So ordered the first things we saw on it with no help or guidance. We also ordered starters again with no help or guidance. Then she left and 20 mins later somebody else showed up with our orders. The food was mediocre at best. But as we were finishing our starters we wanted to order mains to save time. So I waved about 10 times at all the waiting staff, all ignored us. Then our dedicated waitress went to the next table and see me waving at her she said and i quote ‘please wait i am with a customer’. Had i not been that disappointed and angry by then i could have thought it was funny how much this poor waste of space of a person did not speak English nor knew what service was. She eventually came over and repeated ‘sorry i was with a customer’. So i explained to her that we, I, and everyone else sitting at the tables are customers. Dont think she understood the sarcasm or the words. We eventually ordered again with no help or guidance. The last straw was that she left the starter plates on the table until the mains were brought. And when she eventually realised that we finished our drinks she asked ‘do you want another one?’. Infuriating! Somebody train staff on how to service! In city where there are so many choices the service would have saved the place as the food was also nothing write home about. We will definitely not be back. I did not even bother taking more photos. An...

This was a pre-birthday plus graduation celebration family dinner. Restaurant knew it was a birthday mentioned on arrival. Welcome couldn't fault. However our table was at back of restaurant so walked round. Same nice welcome. Was ok at first but then went downhill. Service was either rushed or non existent despite empty. However, when asked not everyone was present so I had to say on a few occasions no not yet as as not everyone present which was obvious for a table of 3. A napkin I put to one side (just used to wipe my lip with a faint mark) tried to take it despite saying no that's ok I'd rather keep but apparently restaurant policy to replace with new. Ok but if a customer says no that's ok please don't explain rules as if I'd done something wrong. However final straw was when my elderly father who hardly ate much loves a dessert just wanted ice cream rather than a full blown dessert but when I asked for this the waitress replied with a firm no, he cannot. He rather disappointed offered to pay for same price as the full dessert. I asked why no and was told can't do on the system. I watched right infront of me a whole staff discussion commence as if I'd asked the impossible. This was while my father who needed the disabled loo had to take a lift as not on same floor so my nephew assisted. I understand loads of objects including a portable TV was outside the lift so if my father was on his own would have really struggled. Food was good but we were rushed throughout. Also, despite knowing it was my pre birthday family meal received no birthday complementary gesture so really what's the point of mentioning special occasion etc on booking form. Staff spent most of the time chatting than to care too about a full blown row behind us too. I did mention this outside when leaving but attitude was oh sorry to hear that but hope you will come back. Actually no. Definitely won't be back. Big mistake booking here. Much better restaurants nearby and we are regulars. Cheaper and more expensive ones but regularly go back for good service which this restaurant doesn't come close too. Luckily afterwards went to our usual venue with friendly and unrushed service which made up for our time and made our double family celebration...
