Edit: lol nearly 3 years later, i walk in and get some chicken wings and a bowl of pho. Chicken wings are fine although not as tasty as they used to be. Pho smells like something has gone off… you know that off smell. I only take 2 sips of the broth. I did not eat not a spoon of the noodle. I have already paid before I sat down. I ask for atleast a refund on the pho. I am told no. I then ask if i can atleast get something else. She says no. I leave the full bowl there and go home.

I will be taking this further because it really doesn’t make any sense. A shame because they used to be very good.

This is what i said nearly 3 years ago: I hope the quality of food doesn’t die down as time goes by, because honestly I’m currently very impressed. The prawn pho was very tasty, fragrant, well made. The portion size and price are perfect!

I also had vegetarian spring rolls and I do wish they were those extra thick, double fried, crispy spring rolls normally served in Vietnamese restaurants, but the ones here are the small simpler ones.

I didn't have the chilli and garlic chicken wings but I was nosey looking at another table and they looked FANTASTIC. Definitely having some next time...

Lastly, I kinda wish they had some lighter weight, shorter chopsticks (but I suppose this is just...

"It was a truly great start. The three of us couldn’t help but notice other customers’ dishes — everything looked so delicious it made our mouths water. Once we had made our decision and placed our order, it didn’t come out in a rushed two minutes, which could have suggested carelessness. Instead, it took just the right amount of time, which gave us confidence in the quality.

When the food arrived, the drinks were refreshing and ice-cold, with a delightful fizz that danced on the tongue. The food was beautifully presented — the meat was juicy, the bread was clean and fresh, and the chicken was absolutely the highlight; we just wanted more of it.

The spring rolls appeared to be three in the photo, but there were actually many more, which made eating them even more satisfying.

The space itself was cozy, and the atmosphere light and welcoming. This was truly the best international Vietnamese restaurant I’ve ever been to!" ❤️❤️😘😍😘♥️❤️❤️😭😭 I just didn't...

Ordered food here as my usual Chinese shop was closed. Did order 7 different dishes and I have to express how extremely dissatisfied I was when the meats were all undercook. Bright PINK spare ribs, PINK in the middle CHEWY chicken chow mien, CHEWY beef in black bean sauce, PINK in the middle salt and pepper chicken wings. Asked for special fried rice with no pork and it came with pork. All the was decent to eat was the prawn balls. Called straight away to let them know and was told to BRING IT BACK TO THE SHOP MYSELF BY THE MANAGER AS SHE BELIEVED IT WAS ALL COOKED. If I eat half, they pay me half back for each meal was told. Did not eat anything! Not trying to get food poisoning. Honestly the food came tooooooo quick to be cooked. No lie less than 20 minutes to cook and be delivered. Paying a little extra for better Chinese is always worth it. Happy Inn in new cross delivers to Bermondsey and the food is wayyy better. How can I add the pictures of...

A decent grilled pork banh mi which I bought to take away to eat in Southwark Park. There was a lot of lemongrass flavour in it and I'd be open to trying other things from here. I was tossing up between the traditional and the grilled pork. I took their recommendation as I did feel like something warm. The service was great and very friendly. I didn't wait long and it probably took about 10 minutes for my food to be prepared. As a big lover of Vietnamese cuisine, I'm glad there are more places serving banh mi. The baguette was fresh and I'd guess it was made in-house. They also serve bubble tea if you are a fan, though I did not try it as it's not my kind of drink. It seemed like a clean restaurant. It wasn't busy on a Wednesday evening and you could walk in without a reservation if you were in the area. Pho Nam is close to Bermondsey Tube station and a few minutes away from Southwark Park.

Got there at 2-20pm but they said that they’re close at 2-30pm and could only do a takeaway. And they only take cash- so I ordered and then went to get the cash. Had to take the food and eat elsewhere. When I opened the box with the pho vegetables and 4 prawns, found one black hair (see photo)! Urgh. The wraps were mostly sliced lettuce- with a few half sliced prawns and couple of pork slices that could been bought from the Sainsbury’s nearby (see photo). For the prawn pho and two rolls, I paid £16. Couldn’t even eat the pho nor take it back as the restaurant was closed. The place should be checked for hygiene!
