Good food. Terrible staff
We came twice for breakfast and in both occasions asked for a MEAT shasuka, first time it came a veggie one, no problem at all but, the second time, we insisted for it to be a meat one, the waitress after she confirmed it, again, she brought the wrong dish. On top of it we asked for two Bloody Mary and one of them extra spicy, the waitress, when she brought our drinks said that actually both of them were spicy. Again, no problem, Bloody Mary is supposed to be spicy so not expecting anything else. But, when I got up to ask the man at the bar for some extra spice he apologised for actually not putting any spice in both of them, which confirms that the waitress did not even care about passing on the right informations about our order to the bar, deciding to fix everything by simply lying about what it actually was, exactly as she did when we asked her multiple times “MEAT shasuka, yeah?” And she kept on answering “yes”.
Just wanted to point out that the food is usually great and is been recommended by a lot of our friends, but the service was disappointing. The staff should be more aware of their surroundings and of their job, you can’t treat customers with superficiality and expect the business to run. Our mood was definitely ruined and we paid our bill and left with an empty stomach and half drunken drinks, still craving brunch and Bloody Mary. Definitely won’t be back again, which is quite disappointing as the food is not...
Read moreDisappointing. After hearing all about this place from friends, Ive decided to go for a lunch on a Saturday. And it was horrible, the service was honestly the worse I have seen lately - it took the waiters 25 minutes to come bring us the menus (we actually had to go pick it up ourselves, not a good sign already) I still decided to give this place a chance as Ive heared so many good things about it, so I kept my patience.
It took some other long minutes before they were ready to take our order. The waiters were just strolling around. There was nobody there, maximum 4 tables of 2–3 people (Not what I call busy) so I still dont understand why the service was so unbelievably slow.
Finally the order came, I had the sweet potato and chorizo, and guess what ? the potatoes were RAW. crunchy, completely undercooked and half cold. The waiters asked me if i wanted it to be replaced but it was already 45 minutes we were in, with no food, starving so I decided to keep it and eat it at that point. I wasnt going to wait another half an hour.
In conclusion, it was extremely disappointing, the service was unbelievably appaling, and the food really not up to standards. The only thing they have for them is their terrace which is...
Read moreIf I could rate no stars at all, I would. Popped into Pivaz yesterday with my son for a Good Friday evening meal. We were shown to our seats, given our menus...and that was it. We sat there waiting for someone to come and take our order. The place wasn't busy: there were a couple dining outside, another couple inside, and what looked like some friends/family of the owners towards the back of the restaurant, and a large party of diners had just left. There were three members of staff. One ignored us completely, one went outside and started cleaning the windows, the other set about clearing the table of the party that had just left. After about 10 minutes, where no one's even come over to ask if we'd like a drink, we decided to leave. As we rose from our seats and started putting our coats on, one member of staff uttered some feeble apology, saying that she didn't realise. I'm not sure what it was that she hadn't realised, but this is not the first time we've had shoddy/non-existent service in this restaurant, but is certainly the last, as I will not step foot in this...
