I dont usually leave reviews unless they are beamingly positive but I figure that this criticism will be constructive and so worth posting. After coming to this cafe for 6 months I have decided to no longer purchase anything from here anymore. The reason being is that for an independent cafe the customer service is quite frosty and to be honest not great. As a regular who comes here quite often, it surprises me that the customer service is so 'meh'. I don't expect a standing ovation when I visit local businesses but I do expect for independent business owners to build some of a rapport with their regulars and make an effort at least to smile, say hello or just something other than a 'what do you want'. And I say this as a born and bred Londoner! A londoner who doesnt talk to their neighbours! The lack of effort in this has made me feel uncomfortable from visiting again and just not what you expect from a local business to be quite honest! The pastries are lovely so...
Read moreThere are lots of places to get coffee on Chatsworth rd but most tend either to not have much seating or they’re more focused on meals rather than pastry and a coffee, so I was glad to see this place open. Bright, welcoming cafe with lots of pavement seating (and some indoor seats if you’re so inclined). The coffee’s good, the pastry selection is very tempting, and they also have loaves of fresh bread for sale. It’s clear they’re still finding their feet (they’ve only been open a week so that’s understandable) but they’re friendly and helpful and my visits have been pleasant enough that I’m recommending the place to friends. I can see myself coming here regularly. And google suggests they’re open till 6pm which is really wonderful because most of the coffee shops on Chats Rd start closing up around 4 for some reason! Somewhere that’s open slightly later to meet friends for coffee was...
Read moreI came to this shop today with a hostel person. I have known this homeless lady for how many years now. Because, I always buy her some food . As soon as we came in I said to this lady I got the homeless I will pay whatever she want. As soon as we came in she look the homeless with bitchines. So, I ask her is shes not aloud to eat her because, of she is homeless. This lady has a bad attitude I don't know if she is the manager. We can seat down outside. Sometimes, homeless people need to feel that they are existed. She is not going to steal because, I am paying for her food. But, she decided to have her cake take out instead. You need to respect people even though they are homeless. Maybe one day you will end up like them. So don't be mean to them sometimes karma come...
