What a wanna-be place

The location? Gorgeous. But before the food arrives, the dream turns into a culinary disaster.

Service? Literally missing in action. No greeting, no smile, wrong drinks, no “enjoy your meal”, just vibes. And not the good kind.

The “Caesar salad” (quotes absolutely necessary) was a sad handful of leaves, a sprinkle of cheese, a microscopic hint of chicken, and a sauce that tasted like it lost its will to live. The club sandwich? Looked like it was thrown on the plate during a staff mutiny. Loveless and lifeless.

Honestly, my dinner parties at home , with zero staff and a dog begging under the table, offer more hospitality and better food.

If the staff at McDonald’s greet you with more warmth, get your order right, and actually care if you’re happy, you might want to rethink what business you’re in. This isn’t fine dining. It’s fine… if you lower your standards.

Neddo, the head bartender, is excellent and truly made our experience memorable. He is polite and professional. I happened to our his signature creation cocktail, “With Consent” - one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. His customer service and skill behind the bar is 5-star. As a first-time visitor to London, he answered all of our tourist questions and made us feel welcome. He has even promised to make me a Christmas cocktail not yet featured on the menu. The bar and restaurant is a beautiful atmosphere and the perfect happy hour spot for hotel guests. We could not be more pleased and satisfied. We had a family meal at The Westminster Bar & Grill (party of seven) and were initially really impressed. The venue is lovely modern, inviting, and great for a group. Lisette, who looked after us at the beginning, provided fantastic service and set a high standard. I had the superfood salmon salad, which was fresh and tasty. Unfortunately, once Lisette finished her shift, the service dipped quite a bit and became slow and less attentive. Despite the service change, we made the most of our time and had a good time overall thanks to each other’s company. I might return in future, though likely just for a drink rather than...
