Went to this as it had lots of hype around it (shockingly). Queued about half an hour for a hot chocolate. When we got near the front we were barked at by an unfriendly security guard, I was shocked as I thought I'd queued for a hot chocolate not to be treated like dirt. The person at the counter was nice enough and we ordered our ÂŁ5.45 hot chocolate. For that price I was hoping it would be drinkable. Whilst waiting we tried not to stand it the way (it's basically a pop up setup in a normal store) the yappy rude security was barking at us again to move in an aggressive tone. At this point I wanted to smack him. Eventually we got our hot chocolates, and tried to find a seat. They have two tables crammed inside, and a few outside. The tables are always full and have people hogging them and saving them so good luck if you would actually like to sit down for your 'drink'. Upon tasting my 'hot chocolate' I was repulsed and shocked that something that tasted like bin juice could be ÂŁ5.45. It was bitter and chunky and barely warm. Luckily, some table hoggers sent someone to look at the queue and decided it wasn't worth it (lucky them) and got up so we did manage to get a table outside, which was the only plus of the experience as you are set opposite the pretty lights. Essentially, if you want a nice view, have incredible patience and don't have great taste buds,...
Read moreMajor queue that moved quickly enough, friendly staff. You're paying for the name rather than anything particularly wow about the drinks and snacks available. I'd recommend the staff do better at chivvying people off tables though as we were a group of 5 and a guy was left "holding" a table for 8 people while his female companions went off down New Bond Street. All food and drinks had been finished on his table, he just sat there on his phone even after one of our group asked if we could please have the table. I ended up asking him if we could swap (we had one seat on the benches) as we had food and drinks and needed a table. I think I guilted him into standing up! Would have been nice if service staff were keeping a better eye on that sort of thing though, especially when they have so few...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite coffee places in London due to its consistency in quality. Staff is fast and very friendly, not a huge selection of food and beverage but I was really enjoying the banana bread as it had the perfect moisture and sweetness and paired nicely with my almond cappuccino. They also have the smoothest iced oat latte. Itâs a bit on the pricier side but I always come back and try different deserts. Their blueberry muffin is good too. Only downside is that they used to have a bigger indoor seating area but now they only have 2 tables. Itâs almost always full and thereâs often a queue as well. And no cutlery or plates is provided for any pastries with your coffee. I still came back 5 times in...
