I visted again yesterday (17th January 2024) only this time it was to make a reservation for my birthday for five guests in February. The two girls on the desk were lovely but unfortunately told me they could not make reservations in the restaurant but gave me a number to call. I called the number and a man answered. I told him about my reservation to which he said “there is no availability on that date” I then looked online on opentable and noticed that there was in fact plenty of availability, however only for the experiences which I did not want. I called again and let the gentleman know that online there was availability and that I could in fact pay a deposit of £90 per person for the a’la carte menu instead of the experience. He told me “this was wrong and he wasn’t sure why they would tell me this” he put me on hold and whilst on hold I decided to go back to sexy fish and tell the two girls I was having a nightmare trying to book. When the gentleman on the phone came back I passed my phone to one of the girls who told him I was in the restaurant. It turns out the reason they wouldn’t give me a table was because of my bad review. “Sorry what? The lady said based on what the man on the phone said to her that I was rude to staff. I absolutely was not! I didn’t even mention my disappointment to staff I only wrote the review of my disappointment and disgust. I have been to sexy fish many times and have always enjoyed myself except for my visit on 13th November 2023 which I gave the bad review. At no point did I think they’d be so petty to ban me. It’s almost small mentality. I’d expect that behaviour from a small family business. Any half decent establishment would try and make things right. They could have said “hi Chris this is not what we’re about could you please remove the review and give us a second chance” they didn’t do this. To be crystal clear if you’ve given me something I’m allergic to and almost killed me I think I’m entitled to write a bad review. To make matters worse members of staff were spraying the tables with what I assume was disinfectant. Whilst it shows they clean which is a good sign it’s not ideal whilst I have copd and it battered my lungs. They also got many other things wrong on the night. As mentioned I have visited many times and was even told by one of the managers (Emiliano Aglitti) to make bookings directly through him in future and that he’d look after me, most probably because I spent so much. Unfortunately Emiliano has now left sexy fish to work at sumosan twiga and so I can’t contact him. I’m sure he would have dealt with things a lot better than this. If you can’t take criticism then I’m afraid you’re in the wrong business and to ban me instead of trying to rectify your mistakes confirms this. I still hope sexy fish can make things right and I’d be happy to remove these reviews. As an fyi I have since deleted the review and have posted this. I await...

Read moreWe recently visited Sexy fish for my birthday on Tuesday at around 12:30-1pm, we hadn’t booked a table but it wasn’t as issue as the restaurant only had a few tables with diners, you expect a restaurant of this caliber to welcome you with open arms, make a fuss of you and make the experience really special especially considering it was my birthday and my husband had informed them of that, however it was like they were doing us a favor seating us without a reservation. Although the food is absolutely fantastic the front of house ( to be exact, hoping the management reads this: Blonde Russian lady , very thin in a blue suit ) made our experience absolutely horrific and after spending over £300 and being regulars at the restaurant, we will never be returning. She was rude, obnoxious and so rude. The restaurant was 3/4 empty and we asked to sit in a booth in the corner and she told us it wasn’t possible as the table was laid for 4 people, which we were surprised at as the restaurant was empty but what made the experience worse was when a couple walked in after us and she offered them the table that we had requested. She continued to linger around the restaurant like a bad smell with a face like thunder and from the very beginning, had made the experience 0/10 and if it wasn’t for my husband loving their sushi, I would have walked out. Our waiter was very uninspiring and not very attentive, very mediocre. We overheard another diner complaining because they had sat a table directly next to them again strange when the whole restaurant was empty, and as they sat down they spilt her drink all over her, the staff are not up to scratch for an establishment like this. Before leaving I went to go to the toilet and, I asked the same member of staff who had seated us to get my coat from the cloak room and she refused and said that I needed to go to the front desk, again not what I expected and when I asked her name to discuss with the management she refused to give me her name and argued with me and my husband for 5-10 minutes. We asked to speak to a manager and she told us she was the manager. NEVER EVER have I had such a bad experience with staff members and we will never recommend sexy fish to friends visiting London or recommend a lunchtime visit. Outrageous!!!! I called Sexy fish the next day to be told to put the whole encounter into an email as there was no management available to discuss my complaint, which pretty much sums it up. Avoid...
