Ranoush Juice — Restaurant in London

Avoid this restaurant like the plague. Upon my arrival we were not aknowledged by any staff and stood there like idiots till I had to speak up and ask for a table. It’s like they didn’t even want us there. We ordered a lamb wrap and a chicken. The food oh my. My brothers chicken wrap had chunks of undercooked chicken that he had to spit out. Mine had 3 chunks of lamb and a WHOLE ONION. A LITERAL WHOLE ONION WITH THE BROWN SKIN. When I asked the manager why there was a whole onion in my wrap he said VERY patronisingly ‘that’s how they’re made’. Little does he know I have grown up eating Lebanese food and I have never had a WHOLE onion in a wrap. The chips were meh. Steak cut which is weird as they don’t serve steak. Even the coke tasted funny. I appreciate that they took my lamb wrap off the bill but I still felt I should leave a review. The place is dilapidated and old and I forgot to mention the HORRID sounds we had to endure during the entire time we were there. They were playing a cacophony of noises followed by a band of women screeching like hyenas on a 80s Arabian instrumental. It was so bad even the chef was complaining very loudly about it. Disgusting service. I ordered 2 mix wrapped and after being charged o was expecting to be asked what I want in my wrap ? Salad , sauces etc as every food store would ask. I wasn’t asked snd when I mentioned the woman on the till and the man who was making my wrap was so rude, they said they never ask client what the want unless the client protests but they didn’t like that I asked either. The man doing my wrap had a nasty smile when I mentioned and told me if I don’t want a tomato I should simply say it I should not be asked but quite frankly I couldn’t even see him what he was doing behind there so to request . Absolutely very rude and awful service I will not recommend nor return . The food also not fresh. When I asked the guy why you smiling he rudely said “am I supposed to cry”. NO VEGAN HERE. I visited Ranoush Juice on King’s Road, Chelsea, today at 12:45 pm and ordered a VEGAN falafel wrap from their menu A UNDER VEGAN category. While eating, I asked for extra sauce separately, as my friends were eating lamb, and I didn’t want to share from the same pot. When I mentioned this to the chef, he laughed and said, “If you’re vegan, why did you come here? There’s nothing vegan in this restaurant. We fry your falafel in the same oil as meat.”

I was absolutely shocked and disappointed. It’s completely unacceptable for a restaurant to advertise vegan options when they don’t follow basic vegan practices. The chef himself admitted it! This is MISLEADING and deeply frustrating for anyone with dietary preferences or allergies. I hope they either stop falsely labeling items as vegan or start maintaining proper food separation.
