Leaving this comment purely because of how the woman dealt with me this evening.

I bought their gnocchi with bolognese sauce last night after the gym for my dinner, got home and after eating a spoon of it, I threw up, the sauce was slimy and tasted like it was cooked 4 days ago. I called the restaurant but was closed. I sent an email to their reservations email explaining my experience , letting them know that I would bring the food back the following day & needed a refund. As I got no reply to my email I rang the restaurant at 16:00 the following day , spoke with a guy who apologised & told me to come in and they will make a new one.

I told.him.that i am never going to eat food from that restaurant again, that the food was still in my kitchen & was going to bring it back. He told me to throw it away.

and to give him my bank details so that they can refund me. I told him that I would go to the restaurant with my card, & didn't want to give him my bank details. Then he told me he had to speak with the lady that I paid with to get permission for a refund to ring back in 30 minutes and to email them my bank details in the mean time. I went to the restaurant at 19:45 this evening the same guy told me to wait, he explained what happened to a woman, who came out after 5 minutes who then told me to wait as they are busy and it would take 15 minutes. The woman was sitting other customers who were coming to the door, she then came to me with a piece of paper & pen and told me.to.explain to her & wanted to write down what happened when her colleague explained to her a few minutes earlier.

I said to her that I sent an email to their bookings email and also spoke with your colleague who sent you to me this afternoon, she then told me that she had to investigate, I asked why did the guy ask me for my bank details if you won't give me a refund, she was making excuses after excuses, saying that she needed proof of purchase. I told her I was given just the gnocchi , no receipt, no cutlery but could show her my bank statement, I was the last customer, she can check the CCTV she could easily find the receipt on the system. she then said she had to speak with the people that were working last night, she then said the restaurant is busy now do you think i have got time to check and to give her my bank details she will do a bank transfer after she investigates, it will be refunded via bank transfer. I told her I won't give her.or anyone my bank details she could take the cash from the till or do a normal procedure refund like other businesses do. I left frustrated and told her to just reply to my email , which I thought by now they would have read it by now as I sent to their bookings /reservations email. I went back to the restaurant and took back the food this evening & handed to the woman. I thought they would say that I had eaten the food judging from the way they acted so far This is my first bad review and I think they deserve it & I'd give them ZERO starts if I could.

l will not be going back and would not recommend I found it really weird that they would not issue a refund even after I took the food back since she said there is no proof of purchace, but they wanted me to leave my bank details with them for a bank transfer which was really really weird, two of the workers asked me to give them my bank details (10.50 is how much...

The Jam is such a charming dinner spot with a cozy, inviting atmosphere and a truly unique concept, especially when it comes to seating. I highly recommend trying to snag a spot at one of the upper tables – it adds an almost playful, childlike element to the dining experience, like being on a climbing frame. It’s such a fun touch!

We started with the pear salad, which was a bit unconventional but surprisingly delicious. The pasta was fantastic – super fresh and packed with flavor. I had the seafood linguine, and it was definitely a standout dish.

The ambiance is perfect for a date night, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. However, I did have a small hiccup when I ordered a coffee. Although the staff were lovely and offered plant-based milk, it was clear they were struggling a bit with the preparation. Unfortunately, the cappuccino that arrived was very disappointing – it had no foam, and the milk tasted burnt, leaving the coffee with an unpleasantly bitter and flat flavor. It really didn’t taste like a proper cappuccino at all, and was quite a letdown after such a great meal.

Despite the coffee mishap, the overall experience was still enjoyable, and I didn’t want to bring it up with the staff, as they were so kind. If they could improve their coffee training, it would truly make this a...

Sat upstairs on a Thursday, wasn’t too busy.

I had the calamari and the gnocchi with Tuscan sausage. The calamari wasn’t anything special, could have done with some more seasoning… tartare sauce was fine and lemon appreciated. I’ve had just as good calamari from frozen unfortunately. The gnocci was delicious and is clearly popular. Very very tasty. Gnocci alone I would give 5 stars, since its modest price point.

Good selection of drinks.

The space is very cool. If you’re looking at this it’s probably because of its interesting arrangement.

Staff were very friendly, and there was nothing to complain about.

Main problem was our wait time. I’m sure it’s not common but tables that sat 30 minutes after us got their food before us and they weren’t ordering anything different. Bit of a shame but the food came immediately after we asked where it was. It’s easy to make mistakes in hospitality and the staff amended the issue pretty quickly and were obviously very nice.

This is where the main problem is, my girlfriend’s carbonara came pretty cold in comparison to mine like it was left for a bit too long. Such a shame! It tasted alright, maybe needed a bit more sauce but the heat let her down.

3 stars in total. Can totally see the better reviews being legit and think we just came...

Discovering a Hidden Gem of an Italian Restaurant!!

Visited Jam for my friends birthday meal as the food was highly rated and had a quirky restaurant set up. The food was nice we all tried different pasta dishes and the cocktails were refreshing. However we had brought our own sponge cake for them to bring out to wish her happy birthday, which was declined due to potential allergen risks (working in hospitality myself this was understandable), and an Italian waiter kindly offered he’ll sort something out for us. At the end of our meal a very small portion of tiramisu with “happy birthday” written on the plate was brought out, which was a nice gesture…. or so we thought. We were all shocked to be charged for it on our bill at the end and not cheap either! After spending quite a bit of money at Jam, you’d think the dessert which was offered to us was a gesture of good will. No problem paying for service charge, if the staff actually checked on us (it was at lunch time and it was just our table of 4 and another couple). The atmosphere felt awkward and hostile. Overall the food was good but i believe it’s the service that makes the experience memorable. Just a small mention the seating upstairs is better suited for a group of 2, being a group of 4 we found sitting downstairs more comfortable.

Perfection! The perfect date night with a twist. The restaurant is cosy, especially with the top level seats. However, it is still a very intimate experience, you cannot hear or feel anyone above/below/beside you and it is truly magical. And the service is great!! The food is amazing, one of the best I’ve tried not only in London but ever. The small plates are perfect for people who cannot decide on one dish and want to try multiple. The only dish that we were not too impressed with were the polenta chips, however the truffle dip they came with was amazing for the calamari rings we got (I guess you could say it turned out well). Moreover we urge for anyone who visits to try the burrata, tomato small plate. It was amazing. The octopus salad was really well balanced too, and the calamari rings were very light and fresh. Lastly the wine they have is absolutely stunning, we had a rose and it was perfect. The cost is definitely pricier, however it is very reasonable. The quality is great and the portion sizes definitely fill you up. It’s a fancy restaurant in West London, but you do not come out of there hungry! Hats off to The Jam, they serve some really exceptional food.
