Ridley Road Market Bar — Restaurant in London

Unfortunately I had the worst experience in this club due to a female bouncer (very unexpected as I have worked for a number of years in the nightlife scene and am very aware of the challenges door staff face). I was in the smoking area when a woman told me to be quiet after I was speaking in a normal register to my friends (she was a bouncer, I had not realised this as she was very unprofessional in how she spoke to me). I said, ‘oh, she must be a resident’ to my friends, and as a result I was forcibly removed even though I had not raised my voice or posed a threat in any way, and I questioned the door staff as to why I was being physically pulled at when I had not done anything wrong. When I questioned the door staff, the male member of staff admitted that the female bouncer ‘needed to calm down’, and I was told I was unable to enter the establishment because she was upset. She had clearly decided that she did not want me in the club, and I respect her personal opinion - however I find it hilarious that I was kicked out when people were doing keys in the club behind me. Fantastic door staff, clearly, who allow drug taking but say ‘having a voice that is a higher register’ is a reason to be kicked out.

Hello I would like to leave my feedback. The first time I was at the bar was last Thursday, I liked it so much that I came back on Friday. My intention of this review and congratulate one of the security guards unfortunately I do not remember her name. When it was ten to eleven they warned us that after 11pm glasses outside was not allowed. Then, at 11pm there was a man smoking and drinking, security told him as soon as you finish your cigarette please come in, glasses are not allowed outside. However he had a friend with him and that friend was not smoking. She very politely asked him to come in or leave the glass inside and come back because he was not smoking. But believe me she was very polite. And they started an argument with her. I explain it more than 3x the license and until 11pm. And the client didn't even want to know. In the end. After much dialogue she tried to explain, he was removed from the scene. I would really like to be able to remember her name and leave my congratulations, she does an excellent job, friendly, polite. This place didnt meet our expectations. the DJ was soooooooo depressed, music boring toilet was cool but no privacy + overcrowded dirty place (a girl spilled her drink on the dance flore and no one even tried to clean it) AND DONT EVEN LET ME START TALKING ABOUT THE DRINKS, there was NO ALCOHOL and too much ice (probably the bar man tried to fool us considering we were charged 9£ basically for a soft drink). the one star goes to the security guard who accept us and, even though water wasnt alloweded in, he saved jt so that we could get it back (Even his good work got ruined because when we came out we only found 2 bottles out of 4) WE HAD HIGH STANDARDS, but this was totally not what we expected by a night out in London We left a bit earlier so we don't know if after that the place got better, but for what we've seen it wasn't good.
