Rising Sun — Restaurant in London

We were extremely disappointed & we will never come back in this pub again !! After a long day ,we went to this pub for a drink ,we came here already several times & everything was ok but today … was the worse ! This woman who works at the bar was so rude & so unprofessional! We seated & looked at the list of drinks serve in this pub . Couldn’t see the price of the beer so when she passed next to us ,nicely I asked her “ how much cost a pint of beer please “ she replied “ go to the counter ! “ Why should I ? I was asking a simple question! I find it rude ! So I had to go & asked how much it was ,she replied something like £5.40 ( can’t remember exactly or £5.60 ) so I asked for a pint of beer & a small coke with ice & lemon . She said £9.60 ! I find it very expensive! It took her May be 2 mn to give the £1 change & was not serving me ! I asked if I have to wait here at the counter or what ? She said” oh yes ,I forgot ! “ I took the 2 drinks at our table . We asked how much was the coke ,she replied “ do the deduction of the price of the beer !” Soooo rude ! We opened a bag of crisps we had in our bag,straight away she said that was not allowed ! I replied “ to see the price of the drinks ,I am not going to spend anymore here ! So we couldn’t have our crisps with our drink after our long day ! We won’t come back here again ,never ! 😡😡😡

Thursday 28 of July To replied to you, this person was NOT in the middle of something else ! She spent more time being on her phone & outside the pub ! I know perfectly that I have to order at the counter! I was just asking how must costs a beer ! I might have a strong French accent but I live in London for almost 23 years ,she probably thought that I was a tourist who knows nothing about London pubs! She is just not good to work in a public place ! No ,we will never come back because of her very bad attitude & you will lose lot of costumers if you keep her...

As I came back to London this year and was exploring my neighbourhood I came to the strange realisation that this place feels awefully familiar. A quick check on my google timeline confirmed that I have been at this pub just the year before on my last visit. I know nobody cares but it was just a very weird experience when all the dots commect and you make sense of place from a different perspective. Ok what can I save of this place? It is definitely a very nice pub that still tends to relativly quiet despite being not too far from Oxford Street which is a very good thing in this very busy area. They have the now obligatory selection of craft beer and althought there is not an aweful lot of space they make a lot of it. Would not reccomend. Party of 6, ordered in 2 lots of 3 meals. 10 minutes after ordering 2 meals were brought to the table with no sign of the 3rd from that order. Waited 10-15 minutes before asking barmaid where the rest of the food was, she replied there is only 1 person in the kitchen. After another 10 minutes 2 more meals were delivered (first 2 had finished eating long before) another 10-15 minutes passed and still no sign of the last 2 meals. 5 minutes later she came with a meal that wasn't even for our table 🤦🏻‍♀️ then came back with one more meal but no time frame of when the last one was coming so asked for a refund for the 2 remaining meals. Will give the landlady her due she did refund us for all 6 meals but didn't seem that fussed. Won't be...
