We ordered the beef brisket, and the salt & pepper tallow fries. If 5/10 is average and acceptable, then here’s my ratings with the experience eating here… Taste of the foods: 3/10 beef brisket - not bad, but for £9.99 per 100g it’s an extremely small portion. It works out to be £100 pounds per kilo - for that price, the brisket could have been much better, and could have had much more flavour. 6/10 salt & pepper tallow fries - best part of the meal, you could taste the tallow, a light flavour and crispy texture. 4/10 gherkins. 1/10 coleslaw. 3/10 pickled onions. Service & ordering: 3/10 ordering experience. You have to order from the counter, would be much easier to have a QR Code to scan and order food to the table. Or have someone to come and take your order. 1/10 serving of the food. Food was served in paper disposable trays, and small paper cups. Disposable wooden cutlery to eat with. 7/10 staff friendliness. The staff were good, and prompt with requests for extra salt for the brisket, and table water. 5/10 order time. Food didn’t take too long to arrive. Atmosphere: 7/10 decor and theme of the restaurant. It’s a little rough around the edges which suits a kind of smokehouse. 3/10 chairs/seating. Not designed for comfort, standard metal chairs. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend eating here. You can’t fault the staff, they were all polite and respectful, good attitude. Only the food isn’t worth the price you pay, and although the staff are great, the restaurant has a long way to go to be a place worth dining at. It seems like management has decided to skimp out on small things that make a big difference. Lots of room for improvement. If they consider the feedback, and make adjustments, it could be a great restaurant.

It says their opening time is 12pm. My friend and I went for lunch and arrived at the restaurant at 12:45pm. We were greeted and told they were not yet ready. They had to turn on the appliances etc. We were told it would take about 15 minutes and if we were ordering smoked me it would be ready sooner than their burgers. The man went away and came back a little later to remind us that the smoked meat would be ready sooner than their burgers. With this in mind. My friend ordered her Chipotle smashed burger meal. I waited about 6 minutes before I ordered the Brisket and tallow seasoned fries. My friend’s meal came about 5 minutes later. I waited 10 minutes before going up to ask where my order was. The man seemed confused that I was not waiting for a burger and that I wanted take away. Once he found my ticket he adjusted it for takeaway and said another 5 minutes. I let him know we’ve been waiting a while. A customer being served said he should be offering discount but instead he just apologised. So my friend’s burger she said had good flavours but the meat itself was dry. My brisket for the price was a surprisingly small portion. With a tiny portion of coleslaw too. The meat was slightly dry and didn’t have much flavour. The most flavour was towards the edges of the meat. I believe three bites of flavour. They gave a lot of chips I suppose to distract from the terrible portions. The chips were very flavoured and lovely. All in all. Would not recommend. Not worth the money. Customer service is lacking also.

Would definitely recommend a visit. We went on a Monday late afternoon just before 5pm, missed their lunch deals which runs till 4pm. Parking was free after 5:30 on side roads, so we paid and displayed for £3. There was a clear halal sign in front of the resturant which is always great to see. When we entered we were served very quickly since they weren’t busy. We didn’t have to make a reservation. I liked the wall art inside the resturant, they provided us with a baby chair and some glasses for tap water. There was enough space to put our pram behind us. Although the waitress didn’t smile even once, she was very fast with serving and customer service was good. We ordered a couple small bites, Mac and cheese with brisket, buffalo chicken wings and a smash burger. I would definitely come back just for the smash burger! I liked the flavour of the buffalo wings, we were asked if we had any allergies to sesame seeds when ordering the buffalo wings, it was nice to be asked. I’d say the wings could’ve been a bit meatier as an improvement point. The mac and cheese was okay, it had around 20-30g of brisket on top. Overall it was a pleasant experience with fast service and nice decor. As I mentioned toned the burger was top tier. It’s a busy area, next to a uni and some shops, so we would probably stick to off peak times. I’d also like to add they are reasonably priced, burger, mac and cheese with wings came to £30.

Honestly, don’t really know where to start with this review. Went to Salts with very high hopes thinking the food was going to be above and beyond my expectations with everything that I’ve heard about it however when I went I felt like it was quite the opposite. I ordered a burger Which wasn’t to my liking. I had hardly eaten the burger. I’d probably taken two or three bites of it and when I expressed that I was unhappy with it instead of being offered with something else to eat or minding it from the bill the owner came and basically spoke to us and advised that he was surprised that I didn’t enjoy it. He then went and gave me a few cuts of some beef brisket And that was it. It felt as though he had done his job when there was nothing else that he had done to Fix the problem. Then when it came to paying the bill and I asked for a takeaway box to pack my macaroni and cheese whilst having a conversation with the waitress because she asked whether we enjoyed the food or not and I expressed that we didn’t as I was packing my macaroni and cheese it had fallen on me all over my lap she saw that in the whole meal I had hardly eaten anything else and that was the only thing that I had enjoyed she not once offered to help me she didn’t offer to go get me another portion of Mac and cheese to take away. It was just honestly some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced And I felt as though there was no care or due diligence at all. When you have a restaurant, it’s very important to be open to criticism and I just feel as though nobody cared I have absolutely zero interest in going back to this restaurant and to be quite frank with you there are lots of better places out there to eat food. I was so hungry when I left that place I actually went and got a pizza. It’s ridiculous after spending nearly £65 on a bill to then have to go buy pizza because I was still hungry. Some of the worst service I...

I have to say I was so utterly disappointed at this restaurant espically after reading some of the amazing reviews. We initially wanted to come for my sisters birthday and made a reservation and in advanced asked for high chairs for our kids.... upon arrival, no table was reserved to fit us, they only had 3 high chairs which were occupied even though they knew we also needed them and had a reservation, so we had to leave... the owner came in contact with me and apologised and said next time you decide to come he will make it right and "on the house" so we were really pleased at the effort put in to do that. Just today 3rd of June 25 my fathers birthday, we decided to go and this time it wasn't busy, they moved the tables around and gave us the high chairs, however the woman taking our order was constantly confused, and got our order wrong, when the food came out, it looked so appealing but it tasted very very bad.... now we didn't want to be rude so we didn't say much we just packed up the food out of respect because he said it was on the house but to our suprise, none of the staff were aware, when the manager called the owner he refused to do it "on the house" and said it was a "big" order, but we only ordered a meal each, which is normal and even the day of my sisters birthday the reservation was for 14 people, and he called and said for us ALL to come back and have it on the house, so we did and then this is what he said... anyway we ended up being tricked into coming back and ordering and paying with 25% off , I feel very tricked and so does my family the food was horrible and not tasty at all, we are never returning and we hope people see this review and be aware because the other reviews saying it tasted so nice etc can be so so misleading guys and it...

We ordered the beef brisket, and the salt & pepper tallow fries.

If 5/10 is average and acceptable, then here’s my ratings with the experience eating here…

Taste of the foods: 3/10 beef brisket - not bad, but for £9.99 per 100g it’s an extremely small portion.
