My colleague and I went for a meal here on the 24th of September based on a review citing it as one of the top three Indian restaurants in Wembley (Threebestrated which claims to follow very rigorous rating processes). I had Keralan fish curry and my colleague had chicken Tandoori. We started with the popadom plate and a mixed starter. I have to say we both found it way below our expectations. The kindest word I can use is characterless. My Masala tasted like something out of a tin rather than freshly cooked and the popadoms and nan were so bland as to give the impression they had been taken out of a supermarket packet and prepared in the microwave. Similar reaction to the rest of it. The service was pretty dismal , needing constant reminders to get attention or food actually to the table. i do grant it was a Friday evening, pretty busy and some of the staff seemed rather junior. But I was expecting better. The most galling point was the recommendation from 'Threebestrated' - we followed their tips for Ealing and they were truly outstanding - but this one - i suggest you pay a repeat visit and update...
Read moreGot to give credit and a big thank you to the owners and staff of Station 31. We were attending a cup final at Wembley Stadium and visited here for pre-match drinks. Would have loved to have sampled the food (having seen it and caught the wonderful aromas as trays were taken past us) but we hadn't booked and there was no chance of getting a table. So we ( 9 of us) enjoyed a couple of hours drinking and watching the league match on the tv before heading to watch our own game at the stadium. Ok the owners obviously make a profit from football fans drinking here when matches are on at Wembley stadium but they were very welcoming and the service at the bar was very quick. The doorman was very polite and helpful and thought he had his hands full with the place packed with football fans he handled it superbly. Will defintely aim for here if we attend events at Wembley in the future, and will try and book a table for a...
Read moreI recently attended this establishment for a joint birthday and leaving celebration with a small group. As a food business owner, I was genuinely looking forward to the food and atmosphere—but I was left incredibly disappointed.
To my shock, a waiter informed us that there had been a complaint that we were "too noisy." In 56 years, I have never been spoken to so rudely in a restaurant. We were seated at our table first, enjoying ourselves respectfully, when a small family was seated nearby. They kept glaring at us the entire evening, clearly unhappy with our presence, and ultimately ruined what should have been a joyful night.
While the waiter did later apologise, the damage was done. I will not be returning to an establishment where my party and I are made to...
