This store has been on my "want to visit" list for a long time, and today I finally went!
🏡 We arrived a little after 3 PM, and there were no other customers. This place really doesn't look like a restaurant; it looks more like a handmade fabric shop combined with someone's home.
👁
While we were sitting inside, we saw many passersby who stared at the shop and the menu for a long time but didn't dare to come in.
⏳
A cute dog was lying on the sofa taking a nap, sunlight was streaming in, light-coloured fabrics were stacked against the walls, and the large wooden dining table was adorned with candles dripping with wax. The wind chimes in the yard were jingling, and the early summer jasmine flowers were in full bloom.
🍽
Here, it feels like time slows down. You can sit and eat with friends and have a good chat.
🍕
The pizza crust was thin and crispy, topped with plenty of ingredients. They've recently updated the menu, and every item looks delicious.

After eating, the owner chatted with us about his story. They've been interviewed by some media, but only true food lovers come here. Most people passing by would never guess it's a restaurant inside.
💐
We all loved the garden in the store. The owner said the furniture, decorations, and plants in the garden were all found while walking their dog. These plants were discarded in the rubbish, but the owner and his wife brought them back, and took good care of them, and now they decorate the garden, looking vibrant and healthy.
❤️ There are many hidden gems in East London. If you explore with an open heart and chat with the shop owners, you can encounter many interesting people...
Read moreI've tried this place twice now in 2 different premises and I'm still not sure what all the fuss is about. Ok, it's a bit quirky in a pop-up kind of way and the pizza menu is quite creative. The ingredients are good and fresh but the pizza bases are just a little odd! Incredibly thin and crispy, almost like a papadam. The main thing that gripes me is the cost. I'm not against paying a fair whack for good food but this place just falls short on the value for money front for me. In my opinion, both Pizza East and La Forchetta (both on the same road) offer better alternatives for...
Read moreLove this pizzeria! I first discovered it randomly in Shoreditch some ten years ago by pure chance. Then it closed, and I thought the best pizza in London was no more… and then, today, on my way to another restaurant, I spotted it! Such a delight! The ingredients are so delicious. The pizza base is thinner and crispier than anywhere else. And the atmosphere is wonderful, cosy, friendly, no background music, no overwhelming lighting. And on top of it they now have vegan pizzas (can’t remember if they did ten years ago!)…
So happy I’ve found this gem again! Come here, you...
