I ordered the chicken ramen, it was really good, rich salty flavourful broth with what I thought was cabbage but now know is Wood Ear Mushroom (tasty!) which absorbed the flavour of the broth well while still being a good difference in texture. The chicken was a bit dry and plain to my tastes but it's okay considering it's drenched in really flavourful broth but will probably opt for a seafood ramen next time because the mouthfeel of dry chicken isn't the greatest but still I near cleaned my bowl. Came with Bok Choy/Pak Choi which was really refreshing alongside some corriader, do keep in mind they serve the corriader from leaf to stem so you may bite into corriader stem so if you have the soap gene do request it be excluded. The egg was lovely, it was hard boiled, I don't know if you can request a jammy/soft boil egg but worth a shot if that's your preference. Signage was very straightforward in terms of communication around the restaurant being cash or bank transfer only, I like that they opted to include a bank transfer option and not just cash only really convenient but there's a cashpoint a few doors down at the Sainsbury's if needed. The atmosphere was very chill I went at around 3pm so that's to be expected and the service was quick. Definitely enjoyed a nice steaming warm bowl of ramen on a rainy autumn day :) will come again and try some different things another time!

This place is okay but really not that great. 1 star deducted for poor quality of food - tuna sashimi was very mushy and not fresh, salmon wasn’t great quality and the other unidentified fish was mushy slimy texture - ramen broth was like a flavourless instant packet and ingredients were low quality 1 star deducted as the bathroom was very very dirty, offputtingly so (makes you question the establishments hygiene) 1 star deducted as the price is much too high for the quality of food. There are far better Japanese food places for same or lower prices. When we got the bill at the end and thought about what we ate we felt like we’d got the short end of the stick really. But maybe some of their other quick fast food is okay for a takeaway… I just wouldn’t really recommend eating in or don’t expect much.

Great food, excellent customer service, and really good value for money. I was the only person in the restaurant when I popped in for an early lunch today - and I really appreciated that the staff didn’t make me feel uncomfortable by watching me as I ate! The staff were very discreet, but there when I needed them. There’s quite a few vegetarian options on the menu, and I chose the Vegetarian Bento: which was delicious and had quite generous portions. I couldn’t eat all of the bento, so I’m glad I didn’t order a starter too. I also had the Jasmine Tea - and I loved that they served it traditionally in a teapot with yunomi style teacups. Longing to return to Japan now! I highly recommend this restaurant.
