If you're a fan of Thai food and happen to be wandering through the vibrant streets of Brick Lane, you should definitely stop by Thai O'CHA Restaurant. This unassuming gem is a delightful discovery for anyone craving authentic, flavourful Thai dishes with a bit of a local twist.
Atmosphere: 5/5 While the restaurant's decor isn't overly flashy, there's a cozy, inviting vibe that makes you feel at home from the moment you step inside. The staff are warm and friendly, caring immediately setting the tone for a relaxed dining experience. Whether you're dining solo or with friends/family the space has a comfortable, no-fuss energy that’s perfect for enjoying a casual or romantic meal.
Food: 5/5 Thai O'CHA truly shines is in its food. Every dish burst with fresh, bold Flavors that transport you straight to Thailand. The menu features all the classics, from the fragrant Pad Thai and Green Curry to more unique options like the Drunken Beef and Thai O’Cha Special fried rice.
I highly recommend the Tiger Cry absolutely delicious—it’s rich and creamy with a depth of flavour that’s hard to match. The Panang Gaeis another standout Dish: perfectly balanced with crispy vegetables, and the right amount of lime leaves & red chillies. If you're a fan of spice, ask for their Spicy Stir-Fried Chicken—it’s not for the faint of heart but is packed with heat and flavour!
Service: 5/5 The service is attentive and friendly, though there can be occasional delays during busy times, which is understandable given the popularity of the spot. The staff are always happy to offer recommendations or customize dishes to your liking, whether you prefer extra spice or have dietary restrictions.
Value for Money: 5/5 Given the portion sizes and the quality of the ingredients, Thai O'CHA offers great value for money. You’ll leave feeling full and satisfied without breaking the bank.
Final Thoughts: Overall, Thai O'CHA is a wonderful spot to enjoy authentic Thai Flavors in the heart of Brick Lane. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this restaurant should be on your radar. It’s the perfect balance of delicious food, warm service, and reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Read moreI feel a little mislead from this restaurant’s ratings and reviews. Food was alright, nothing extraordinary though or remarkable. Possibly it would be a good “takeaway” but not a nice restaurant to go and have dinner at and want to return. Upon arrival I informed the waitress that I am intolerant to garlic and asked if I can have the broccoli and mushroom side dish with the (garlic) sauce aside. Then I have been told they cannot make it as they roast the veggies and the sauce together - surely there are alternatives to serve roasted vegetables. They were zero accommodating to my intolerance and didn’t advice me if any of the food that I ordered contained any garlic. We were a group of four people and our mains arrived at completely different times and some of the dishes even were wrong. We had to ask for water again and again (as we were served water in some small glasses). During our meal we ordered a second bottle of wine, different red wine to what we were already drinking and we were just waiting passed the bottle - no new glasses no question if we want to taste the wine or to be served. They just left a bottle on our table. Then towards the end of our meal I went to the toilet, only to return to the table and see that all plates have been cleaned up from the table but mine - surely it’s not polite but even if I wanted to continue eating my dinner I was made feel uncomfortable being the only person with a plate. All in all I had the experience was subpar, I only enjoyed my time there as I was amongst good friends and don’t think I would be...

Set in the heart of historic Brick Lane, nestled in a charming atmosphere, it's an ideal setting for various occasions, whether it's a business dinner, staff party, or romantic evening.
The service here is truly excellent; the staff are attentive, friendly, and ensure that every need is met promptly and with a smile. What's more, the prices are surprisingly reasonable compared to other local Thai restaurants, and the portion sizes are generous.
As for the food, it exceeded all expectations. The Lamb Shank was succulent and full of flavour, the Steamed Seabass was cooked to perfection, and the Special Fried Rice was a delicious accompaniment. I also highly recommend trying the Pad Pro Kaw with minced chicken, if you're into a bit of spice – it's a real standout dish.
Overall, Thai O'Cha is a gem of a restaurant, it delivers an outstanding dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere. I can't...
