The Albany Pub & Dining Room — Restaurant in London

We booked The Albany for a surprise 60th birthday party yesterday evening and the venue was perfect for the occasion. The staff could not have been more helpful - particularly Dan whose attentiveness and positive attitude was instrumental in making the whole evening run as smoothly as it did. This was no easy task as the event had several elements to it and he had to liaise with a team for four people who were organising things. The Albany staff team also went above and beyond the call of duty in decking out the actual bar with bunting which complemented perfectly the decorations that were installed in the restaurant area. The light bite platters were of a very high quality and everyone who attended the celebration was effusive in their praise of all aspects of the evening. We cannot recommend The Albany and its dedicated staff team...

Great match day pub just off the main drag! This pub is a bit tucked away from the main Twickenham High Street, which makes it a real find—especially on rugby match days. It gets busy, but the vibe is great and it’s a top spot for meeting up with a group. The large parking area is a real bonus, making it easy to gather pre- or post-match without battling the usual High Street crowds.

There’s an outdoor bar area that really helps keep the drinks flowing when it’s packed, so service stays pretty quick even when it’s busy. Just a heads-up: the toilets are down a fairly steep set of stairs at the back, so that’s worth bearing in mind if accessibility is a concern.

The sous vide beef was very good with well cooked vegetables and friendly service. Also enjoyed the Merlot wine. Just a little disappointed that when my wife asked for some more gravy for her veggie roast dinner, we were charged additionally for it. This felt a little churlish TBH as there was barely any gravy on her food in the first place and the extra gravy that was supplied was just a tiny pot of what appeared to be instant gravy granules. The veggie wellington portion was also a bit on the small side. One more thing, the food could have done with being warmer but wasn’t worth kicking up...
