My boyfriend and I had ordered a burger through deliveroo before, but wanted to try out going to the pub ourselves. We tried two of the burgers and the breaded Mac and cheese vegan balls. Everything was so delicious and the staff was so friendly! The Mac and cheese is a smaller portion, but hearty and filling!

I've never seen in my life a place filled with so many smiling, dancing and inteligent people. Such a nice place and croud. And the toilet... wow, that's art, I never imagined that a toilet can have so much beauty. And they wipe it blank every day. Awesome, isn't it? Art for a day.

Cool pub, friendly & helpful staff who also made my dog very welcome - I hate going out after work to places where I can't bring him too. Interesting food menu. I've been here several times & it's the one place I'm still motivated to go into town for on a weeknight.

This place is only good for a pint.

We made a reservation a fortnight ago, listing that our group of 6 would Benin for dinner, told this was ok we headed in. None of the ‘new menu’ was available as they had no cook working. The ‘old menu’ therefore consisted of what I can assume was reheated food, sure tasted like it.

Ordering was a pain, they seemed disinterested and unhelpful, obviously as they were having troubles meeting our tables orders, despite taking the booking.

The place was basically empty mind you.

We finished our meal all agreeing that it was basic at best, interrupted by a suspiciously timed fire alarm going off, leaving never to return again.

I just don’t understand why you would market yourself as something you aren’t. It was impossible for you to meet your customers needs because you weren’t prepared, and therefore should have taken...

I work next to The Apple Tree and recently we been going to get something to eat after work as we got told the food is really good. I'm rating so low for the awful service. Staff is always outside smoking so there is no one to order a drink from, no one clear the tables which makes it very uncomfortable when eating as it's full of glasses, dirty napkins and pizza boards. The cherry on the cake is a French woman always shouting at me and my friends. We are not coming back, probably if you will do delivery service we can request our food to our homes, let us know if you start working with...

I go to the Apple Tree occasionally for meetings in the recently refurbished upstairs room, which now has portraits on the walls of famous locals, including Karl Marx who lived nearby, Lenin, who edited Iskra in the Marx Memorial Library a few hundred yards away and who lived locally also (yes, this area is a hotbed of revolutionary strategising); others of note are C. Dickens and Fagin! The pub downstairs is a little masterpiece of old London pubbery, with good drinks and excellent food. It's in a quiet area and has plenty of outside seating space. NB the sharing platter with...
