Decided to have my father’s 60th birthday here! Location is great, food was fantastic, service was awful. Felt as if a bunch of teenagers are running the place!

We’d booked the venue a few months in advanced and when I requested plates, glasses and knives and forks we were told they didn’t have enough for the 55 people we had invited. Being a pub I’d assume that they would have these amenities at hand, especially as they advertise it being a location for “hire”.

I was annoyed that the manager then told me he’d had no idea about the party as he’d just got back from his holiday, was completely unprofessional with his comments and was in his first week as role of manager (how he got the job, I don’t know). I requested the general manager on the night, she was very professional and helpful when I gave her feedback at the end of the night.

It’s a shame they couldn’t hold up on their end as it caused a lot of stress and running about but the location and food are great and can’t be faulted. Some additional training and development is needed for the staff members that are already there- as well as better communication in general. Do better next time Beehive!
