As a regular, I absolutely love the changes that the cafe has made. Aesthetically it is very beautiful. The display looks really nice. The staff are all fabulous. Each and everyone one them are soo kind and friendly making the atmosphere so welcoming. The food options are great and taste wonderful (you just can’t get enough). The coffee is one of the best in the area. Tastes amazing. I love the display it makes for the employees to have more room and flexibility to make sure they are providing the best service and experience to their customers as well. I highly recommend this cute, friendly cafe in the heart of Chelsea â˜ș

Shamefully rude staff. - I was quietly reading The Economist in the corner when a staff member told me I would have to turn off my iPad because they "don't allow laptops during the lunch rush. - I explained it's not a laptop, and I'm not working. Just reading the Economist. - She said it was still not allowed and against their policy with signs everywhere. - I counted the signs said laptops and this is an iPad. I then asked if I was reading the Economist in print, then what's the difference? - She said she was not having this discussion. Completely unacceptable way to treat paying clients.

The Chelsea Gardener Cafe is a fantastic spot with great food and a lovely atmosphere. I had the Italian board with a variety of cheeses, cured meats, capers, olives, and a fresh tomato bruschetta – all of it was flavorful and perfectly paired. The service was outstanding – the staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. The location is ideal, right in the heart of the city. Whether you’re just stopping by or settling in for a longer meal, this cafĂ© is a perfect choice. Highly recommend for the delicious food, exceptional service, and perfect setting.

I agree with another reviewer who said the main member of staff behind the till was grumpy. Talking of behind the till, watch out for the sign saying ‘10% surcharge added’ because when you pay for your order and you’re given your bill , it’s only then that it confirms the 10% surcharge is in fact OPTIONAL. in other words you have a choice. The above is misleading and a tad bit underhand to be honest especially if you have to point out to the waitress that the dirty teacups and glasses needed to be cleared and the table top cleaned before we could eat our sandwiches ! Not really earning either her or the proprietor that ‘surcharge’ when you have to...
