The Gelato Connoisseur — Restaurant in London

The waffles were undercooked, they was doughy and horrible. I phoned shop to complain and asked for a refund. The man was very defensive and had an attitude, he advised they made waffles all day and they came out with timer. The timer needs to be reset, even looking at the waffles you could see they were undercooked. I felt he didn't believe me. My Uber app advised the shop and their delivery person had worked their magic as order arrived quicker than they notified. Perhaps the magic wand didn't work properly on this occasion. I advised him I had eaten enough waffles to know they were undercooked, he advised he had made enough waffles to know they were cooked. He asked me to return them to shop, I ordered them from Uber eats as I do not have a car so I was not able to physically go there and take them back. He told me to get a refund from Uber eats. Uber eats app is not brilliant when requesting a refund, as they can only refund if their delivery person made an error. Not if product is unsatisfactory. The man obviously knows this and that is why I believe he advised me to get refund from Uber eats. I will no doubt get a sarcastic remark from owner in the response to this review. I feel annoyed as I have wasted £24.00. And only ate the ice cream. I will never get anything from this shop again. It would have been cheaper, in long run if I bought a waffle maker and made them myself. In regards to owners comments, who is lying, my bill came to £28.38, which included £4 something for delivery. Where can you get 4 desserts for a couple of quid. Even at the discount prices. According to owner each dessert cost 50p. I...

The service is good, the look of the place is alright, the sofa I sat on was falling apart backwards. Extremely loud environment with both fans on full.

We ordered a coconut ice cream, it was gone off and served melted. We requested another one but a different flavour (vanilla) which was good close resembles to a ben and Jerry's which was good.

The gelato the main signature was terrible (Trying out the ferrero rocher) taste nothing like it anything other than the chocolate syrup and sickening sweet. We also ordered tea served very warm. But It would seem they serve that much later had to ask them to see if they are making it, after being served with the Ice-cream and the gelato.

The oval experience was less than average. However the presentation of every was excellent. But that been said we haven't tried out the waffles/crêpe that are most popular...

Worst customer service I have ever received from this place, the staff were rude and they don't take card, only cash. They also didn't know where the nearest cash machine was and told me it's not their job to guide me to a cash machine! You are running a business in 2022, it's your job to take card payments and pay the tax like the rest of us. There are people selling cakes from their own homes who have card machines!

If you're reading this review, please spend your money elsewhere where you'll be appreciated as a customer and where they take card payments, don't support these cash grabbing, tax dodging shady criminals. They are indeed criminals for it's a criminal offence to dodge taxes.
