Anwar and the exceptional team at the Glean truly exceeded our expectations, leaving us with an unforgettable experience. We recently had the privilege of hosting a private dinner party for the finalists of the National Student Negotiation Competition for England and Wales 2024 at the Glean Restaurant and Bar. From the outset, the Glean team exhibited unparalleled professionalism and dedication. They collaborated closely with us to curate a bespoke set menu tailored precisely to our event's requirements. Their meticulous attention to detail shone through as they seamlessly accommodated a range of dietary preferences and restrictions, ensuring every guest felt valued and catered for. The Glean proved to be the epitome of the ideal venue, providing an ambiance that perfectly complemented the occasion. With grace and efficiency, the team orchestrated the service for our sizable group of 45 guests, ensuring each dish was served promptly and flawlessly. The Pecan Maple Tart was a big favourite in the group! We wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking an unparalleled dining experience.

A quiet find on the "back-streets" a short walk South from St Paul's Cathedral. On a lovely warm May evening we met under the trees (surprising, given the area) of their casual garden to enjoy surprisingly spicy Negronis. Then headed into the main restaurant for our 8:15 reservation. The welcome was inviting and the atmosphere, with our window seat, was nice (good for conversation). The risotto starter was a hit according to the two who ordered it. My homemade tomato soup starter was superb. (If it's on offer when you go, I highly recommend it). Mains included a well prepared Blackened Salmon (Gluten & Dairy free), the pork belly and the chicken Caesar salad (which was a bit overdressed). No problems making adjustments for Gluten-free and/or Dairy free requirements. £4.50 for a bottle of still water was a bit excessive.

Very impressed with the flavours and the food. We found it on the map to visit after an Uber boat trip. Was at a convenient location from the bankside pier, around 15 minutes walk. It's at a nice little street, away from the noise. We ordered the popcorn shrimp, linguine with prawns, steak sandwich and the chocolate brownie, totalling 70 gbp with the water and the service charge. Not cheap, but worth it. The service was pretty good. The decor was nice. But as I said before, the flavour was impressive. Every dish was balanced and delicious. The sauces were great, the prawn was cooked just right. The popcorn shrimp were amazing. The portions were good and satisfying. No complaints at all, it was a nice one. I uploaded the food photos in the menu page here. Cheers!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming restaurant and pub that quickly became one of my favorite spots in town. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with dim lighting and rustic decor that gave the place a warm and inviting vibe.

The menu offered a variety of dishes, but the standout for me was the fish and chips. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. The chips were thick-cut and delicious, and the portion size was generous. It truly was one of the best fish and chips meals I've ever had.

In addition to the amazing food, the service was top-notch. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that my dining experience was nothing short of fantastic. The selection of drinks at the bar was also impressive, with a wide range of beers, wines, and cocktails to choose from.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and pub to anyone looking for a great meal in a relaxed and cozy setting. The fish and chips alone are worth a visit, but the entire experience is sure to leave you wanting to come back for more. I can't wait to return and try more of the delicious dishes...
