Massimo Giglio Hair Salon — Local services in London

I will never go to this saloon ever again because Massimo Giglio is the most unprofessional and rude person I have ever paid to receive a service. I asked for a hair cut with a clear picture in a very calm and polite way and he complaint about everything I was saying. He made comments such as you seem to be "quite intelligent" with a sarcastic tone, "you don't understand, do I have to explain again" etc. humiliating my person over and over. Luckily for him there was no one else in the saloon. At some point I made a comment, saying it's okay we can complete the hair cut, it is not a big deal, in the worst case scenario I will wear a wig. He got mad because of the comment and in a very rude way asked me to leave the saloon with the hair cut only half and unwashed, then I stayed silent as I was completely uncomfortable and speechless and asked him to complete the hair cut. He accepted but continued with a rude teaching tone, also pretending I participated to the conversation. I didn't say anything, letting him speak, and he said "you didn't listen to anything I said". I am still speechless about the horrible treatment received from a human perspective. After that, he refused to wash my hair, I had to ask twice to wash my hair. I will never go to this saloon ever again because no one is allowed to adopt this offensive, rude and superior tone and words with another person. Awful hair cut also, not done properly this time as it opens up like two curtains on the head and his approach was awful from a human perspective. Horrible paid experience. I'll begin by saying that I am someone who has always been absolutely meticulous about his hair. I have tended to stick with a stylist once they know me and what I like, but in London, I will have to say that's it's not always that easy. Whenever I have had to find a new stylist, it is something that I absolutely dread.

However, I have now had my hair cut with Massimo three times and I honestly cannot fault him. He is a true professional, with whom I felt completely at ease from my first appointment. It is clear that he is a perfectionist and each time, I have left feeling 100% happy with the cut. In fact, his swift yet thorough, and expert technique makes me think of a real-life Edward Scissor-hands.

Moreover, he is a genuinely nice guy! He is exceptionally talented and cares greatly about what he does (and about giving his clients the perfect cut). I am not usually one to write reviews but for Massimo, I cannot...

Massimo has given me many FANTASTIC haircuts! He seems to me to have that innate Italian ability to create visual style with subtle, hard to define, small touches that have an effect that is hard to put your finger on but gets compliments; after my first haircut I was concerned that he had changed my style too much, but then my Wife, my staff, and even my mother-in-law! started complimenting my new look. My eldest boy, who has taken the *s out my 70s/80s look for years now, was really impressed with my new haircut and that's one thing he doesn't pull my leg about now. The great thing is that my hair style is now, as my Son would say, "Current," but Massimo hasn't done it in a way that makes me look like an old boy trying to look like a trendy young thing; rather I would like to think like a mature man with his own elegant style.
