I’ve just had THE most spectacular Sunday roast at The Hunter’s Moon on Fulham Road, and I simply must share!
From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed: charming ambience, warm lighting, and that cozy buzz of people who clearly know they’re in for something special.
The roast itself? A masterpiece. The meat was cooked to perfection, succulent, full of flavour, tender in all the right places with a crisp exterior. The roast potatoes were golden and satisfyingly crunchy on the outside, fluffy inside. The Yorkshire puddings rose beautifully, light and airy, soaking up just the right amount of gravy. Vegetables fresh, vibrant, slightly caramelised in places, even the greens had crunch and snap. And the gravy: rich, deeply savoury, beautifully balanced. Every mouthful made me want to linger a little longer.
Service was impeccable. Attentive without being overbearing, warm without rushing, and always with a genuine smile.
And Sienna. Wow. 🌟
If the food and setting were stars, Sienna was the shining constellation tying everything together. Her attention to detail, her warm friendliness, her intuitive sense of making everyone feel seen and comfortable, she elevated the whole experience. She was charming, professional, full of personality, and clearly proud of her work.
Me and my husband have been here 5 times now and she only served us 3 times and she always remembers us so fondly! What a gem that woman is… honestly ! Makes the whole experience so much better when someone remembers you like this.
If you’re looking for a Sunday roast that’s more than just a meal, one that feels like an unforgettable treat, The Hunter’s Moon delivered in spades. And with Sienna at the helm of hospitality, it becomes something truly magical.
5 out of 5 stars, absolutely worth every moment and every bite.

Read moreWe went to The Hunters Moon while we were down in London on holiday. Over the years of holidaying in London, we have been to a few different places in London for a Sunday roast, most sadly were frozen veg, shop bought roast potatoes, shop bought Yorkshire Puddings.
I had roast beef and my girlfriend had roast pork belly. It was by a massive amount the best Sunday roast we have ever had. The carrot purée that came with my roast beef was absolutely delicious. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding were both home made. The Yorkshire Pudding I had with my roast beef was easily 6 inches tall, and the roast potatoes were lovely and crisp and were absolutely delicious. Also the accompanying vegetables (which when we were there was green beans and cabbage) were all fresh veg.
The roast pork belly that my girlfriend had, she informed me that it was delicious and was the best she had ever tasted, as were all the other things that came with it (roast potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding, apple sauce, cabbage and green beans). We also got a couple of side dishes. One was cauliflower with a three cheese sauce and the second was pork, sage and black pudding stuffing. These were absolutely stunning. The cheese sauce was lovely and creamy and was a nice thick consistency. The black pudding that was in the stuffing, I must admit when reading it on the menu I was unsure of, but it complimented the pork and sage in the stuffing perfectly and was absolutely delicious.
The service was very quick and we waited no time at all to be seen to, and after ordering our food was fetched to the table very quickly. All the staff who attended to us were all extremely friendly.
I want to thank all the staff at The Hunters Moon, for leaving us with a very happy memory for us both, and needless to say that we will be heading back to The Hunters Moon when we are next in...
Read moreWe ate here on a Saturday evening, a little early, so it wasn’t a full buzzing atmosphere at the time, but it was a nice setting nonetheless.
The waiting and bar staff were friendly, but mostly very young and with that, ever so slightly awkward; there didn’t seem to be a confident commanding presence in the dining room.
I ordered the Celeriac velouté to start, which was delicious and perfectly seasoned. My wife had the burrata dish, which was also good, can’t go wrong with burrata.
I went for the special partridge dish for a main, my wife had the girolle tagliatelle. I really struggled with mine, it was painfully rich, and the addition of foie gras boosted that tenfold; it all felt a bit self indulgent and I think losing the slightly old fashioned foie gras and complimenting the rich dish with some pickled veg or roasted beets, something acidic could have made it a really nice dish. My wife’s pasta was also rich, but was polished off!
For dessert we ordered a chocolate fondant and a sticky toffee pudding. Sadly I found the sticky toffee pudding inedibly sweet. I’ve never eaten something so sweet it made me grimace before, it was almost like something went extremely wrong and no one noticed before serving. The pudding itself was also very dense, pale and bland. The chocolate fondant ironically could probably have done with more sweetness and it was swimming in chocolate sauce to begin with, which took away from the magic of breaking the fondant open.
The menu comes with some serious prices attached, and I think perhaps the owner throws lots of truffle flavours and foie gras in there to make up for that, but overall, other than the decent starters, it was all quite...
