Me and my boyfriend received ok service until my card declined twice due to my account being blocked. Not that it is anyone’s business and does not warrant explanation, but the block was due to being out my hometown and often this happens through my bank but I always forget to alert them that I will be out of town. The member of staff serving me was making faces, then decided to nudge and say to her colleague next to her that my card declined, then they both started laughing about it with no attempt to hide their reaction, right in front my face. I tried again alas it declined again, to which they found utterly shocking and very funny. I felt highly embarrassed when in fact there was no need for me to be however the two co workers found it hysterical and an opportunity to humiliate me and laugh about it not very subtly. The place was also packed and I had a long line behind me. This only made my humiliation worse. As a previous bar worker myself I’d never dream of laughing or trying to embarrass someone for having a card declined as at the end of the day you never know another’s true circumstance. I was left very upset by this, luckily I had another card with me to pay by, upon walking away the two workers were still laughing and whispering about me. I unfortunately did not get names and felt too upset to take it further at the time. Highly disappointed and will never use this establishment again if this is how you train your staff to act. Disgusting behaviour from your poorly mannered members of staff. Simply just trying to enjoy my time before a concert to being met with this snobbish behaviour certainly put a downer on the start of the night. I am never one to leave a review and be a ā€˜Karen’ but I seriously think this needs addressing. I’ve came to the realisation that the two co workers should be the embarrassed ones for acting in such a way and not myself. I will NEVER be back and will be putting off everyone I know who attends the o2 to avoid avoid...

We decided to pop into the observatory for a bite to eat before we attended an event at the o2 main arena. The food was very nice and arrived in good time. So much so that we decided to have a dessert too (thoroughly recommend the sticky toffee pudding) and given how fast the service was we still had some time to burn and walked round the o2 for a bit. After walking round we became a bit thirsty and still had plenty of time and because we enjoyed our food here we decided to go back and have a quick drink. Upon leaving the first time the manager Luke had cleared our table as it was getting quite busy and as we returned and found a table with our drink, he noticed we had come back. He came over and spoke with us a little while, asking us about our evening and it just made it a lovely atmosphere. It was like walking into your local and being greeted as a regular. All of this combined, we had a great experience and would go back again, particularly as other restaurants and bars get very busy on event days, but although busy there was always plenty of room here. Top marks for Luke and his team, doing a...

Disappointed to find I had been charged 10% service charge for the barstaff to pour my round of drinks. No wonder pubs are closing hand over fist. I did put in a formal complaint regarding this and was informed the service charge is on their menu as optional. The difficulty with this is that I don't ask for a menu when ordering a round of drinks Years of walking into a pub has taught me to look at the beer clips or pumps to see what is on offer and then order. I wasn't happy with the response I got so have the contact details for the CEO at Mitchell's and Butler so I can ask directly what sort of policy this is and why do they think it is fair to charge a tax on what was an expensive round of drinks in the first place. N.B In the spirt of openess I would like to state that I was offered my £7 service charge back when I visit again. But won't be returning as the experience has left me feeling a little bit bitter and after I have either driven and parked or used public transport to get there its going to cost me more than the £7...

Let's face it, most of the restaurants at the O2 are upmarket fast food outlets (fair) but that suits the nature of the place. If you want fine dining then try somewhere else. Most people are at the O2 for shopping or entertainment. The Observatory gives you a nice pub option. Give yourself 5 minutes and you'll forget you are in the O2. It's got a good vibe, nice bar with a selection of lagers, ciders and ale. Spirits, wine, cocktails etc. The food menu is straight forward and aligns well for those seeking classic pub fayre. You can order everything from the table using their app as well as wandering to the bar. The staff could be a bit more attentive, the food not so pricey and the music a little less loud (the table next to us were shouting to hear each other speak)....a bit much. Anyway, overall it was good and we'll come again. Oh, tables... plenty, toilets... good, outside standing and seating available and TV screens if you want sport.

Great place to watch games. Multiple screens and the usual crowd is a vibe. There's no table service here; you order off a QR code and they deliver it to your table. They said the QR system wasn't working so I ordered at the bar. Many beer options but I noticed the price was higher for the brands I usually get at other places. One thing I really appreciated was that a dish I ordered had a lower price on the menu than what they charged and the man helping me chose to honor the menu price. The fish and chips was delectable as people have said. The steak and pale ale pie was decent but the mashed peas and mashed potatoes it came with was excellent. This is one of my top choices for food after shopping at O2.

The Greenwich evening was getting cooler and decided to warm up inside the O2 with a hot beverage. Most drink outlets charge inflated prices. However, this pub is very resonable in my opinion. Cappuccino £3.60 and assorted teas at £3. To be fair it actually a bargain considering where you are. The staff were friendly and helpful when serving. I didn't eat on this occasion but the food I saw coming out the kitchen looked inviting. The toilets were kept to a good standard. The pub itself is big and spacious with plenty of seating. There are also a few TV's dotted around that had sport on when I was there. Will certainly pop in again next time I am at the O2.
