EDITED IN RESPONSE TO THEIR REPLY BELOW
There was no miscommunication on our part. The waiter moved the table and allowed us a full table. We ordered and whilst we were eating, the original waiter’s boss (ponytail, caucasian, glasses, started being very verbally aggressive with everyone and said “if you don’t move the table in the next two mins im going to get fired”.
The fact this company is placing blame on customers for a mistake they made, is a disrespect.
They also banned us from ordering more drinks because we didn’t move the table - MID WAY THROUGH EATING?!?!
I will never be drinking, eating or recommending anyone go there. It’s a real shame because there was around 15 of us.
There was absolutely no miscommunication from us, they knew the group size, they served us, then expected us to move a table mid way through eating.
If they cared about health and safety, they’d have moved the table themselves, not ask customers to, especially a lady!
I appreciate the offer a chance for a call, but won’t be ringing because it is apparent that the below wasn’t respectfully accepted and therefore, I’d like to end this discussion.
Please take this as a note to be kind to customers and treat people with respect and not make anyone feel uncomfortable. We had a team outing and one of the waiters served us. He moved a table to allow us to all sit and eat together.
We ordered 7 fish and chips and then were told only 4 were available
Then the waiters boss asked us to MOVE THE TABLE Whilst eating.
Poor service. His name is Richard and he has a ponytail and glasses. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour arguing with our team, harassing members and asking me to “look him in the eye”.
He’s very lucky we aren’t pressing charges...

Sat down and went to order at the bar. Since it was not really time for dinner wanted to order a few coffees and a few nibbles and snacks.
As soon as we ordering another bartender came to our one and said they were not serving coffee even though we saw them several another customer literaly 2 min before we order.
Even the guy taking our order looked a bit perplexed... but unfortunately, it was clear why ... they did not want to serve us... Hopping we would just leave... and we did. I do not want to be where I do not feel welcomed.
I just hope he, as a person of Indian origin gets denied service in the future based on his ethnicity... see if he likes it.
Never again.
Avoid at a costs.
Update: so first if the machine was having problems that is what you should have told us when we order the coffees. And we did ask how come they had just served coffee to another patron and your supervisor had ample opportunity to explain at that time if the problem really was temperature... I guess it is not as easy to come up with an excuse under pressure... so don't treat me as a naive child. I have worked at restaurants and bars enough to distinguish what was happening and using my comment about being discriminated against as somehow I was the one being racist is another low... i had nothing to say about the person that was taking my order (also of Indian origin) just of his supervisor that told him to lie about the machine... and don't worry I have no desire to ever set foot in your establishment again... hopefully you won't have one for that long and someone else can make it a worthwhile...
Read moreUnfortunately this afternoon was a very poor experience. Before I get in to it - there were till issues - having said that, it shouldn't have effected things the way they did.
Out of a party of 16 people, I ordered third. The first 4 people to order were the last to receive their order - the waiter had to check we weren't waiting on anything else and we had to inform him that there were 4 missing burgers. 3 of those burgers arrived 50 minutes after ordering, with the waiter letting me know that my burger, including chilies I ordered to go in the burger, were on the way.
10 minutes later the waiter re-appeared to ask "Did you order chicken or beef...?" - I ordered beef. another 5 minutes later he appeared with a chicken burger free of charge and said they're working on the chili burger. He also offered a free drink which was a nice touch but unfortunately it was simply needed at this stage. The chicken burger wasn't good, let's leave it at that.
Another 10 minutes later, the beef(?) burger arrived (I'd been waiting 1 hour 15 minutes at this point)...with the chilies in a side dish...which just baffled me. "Pick from these toppings" - the menu reads..... a side dish of chilies is not a topping.
The burger itself was very poor, the wait time unacceptable and unfortunately a complimentary drink couldn't salvage the situation.
The new menu seems to be a step backwards really (no-one needs a carton for chips or a wrapped up burger), what once was a decent burger pub has turned in to a pretentious waste of time.
Unfortunately our company wont be coming back for food after a good year or two of...
