This is honestly one of the dodgiest and most disappointing places I have ever visited. From the moment you step inside, you can feel something isn’t right. They try to rip people off by adding hidden charges and messing with the bill to confuse you. Every single time you order something, they try another trick — it feels like a calculated scam rather than a genuine business.

The worst part is the attitude of the staff, especially the manager. Instead of helping or resolving problems, he is shockingly rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. It’s clear they don’t care about customer service — only about squeezing as much money as possible out of people.

I saw several customers arguing at the bar about incorrect bills, and it seems like this is a common tactic here. The whole place feels shady, aggressive, and dishonest. Be extremely careful if you visit this place — check your bill carefully and don’t let them take advantage of you.

This exactly for your response as I couldn’t reply Response to your false answer to prove the bad customer services

Your reply is completely false and full of misleading accusations made to cover up the unprofessional behaviour of your staff. Let me clarify the situation with facts.

Every single order we made during our visit was paid for, and I have full proof of all transactions to confirm this. The real issue began when your staff presented a confusing and inconsistent bill at the end, adding unexplained extra charges. When we politely questioned these charges, instead of giving a clear explanation, your staff became rude and defensive. That is not professional service.

Your claim that we were “leaving with an open tab” is simply untrue. At no point did anyone try to avoid payment — we were asking for transparency, which every customer has the right to do. The only reason voices were raised was because we were falsely accused of not paying, which is insulting, dishonest, and completely unacceptable.

The most shocking part of your response is the false and serious accusation you made. This is a complete lie and clearly shows how badly your place is managed. It looks like a desperate attempt to damage our reputation because we questioned your dishonest billing tactics. Making up such a story is not only unprofessional, it is extremely irresponsible.

Security only became involved at the very end, near the main exit, and only after your staff escalated the situation. Around ten members of your staff surrounded us over one single bill — instead of resolving the issue calmly, they created unnecessary drama and behaved aggressively. No professional business needs ten staff members to argue over one bill. Even your manager failed to control the situation and did not seem to know what he was talking about.

Your message avoids the real problem: your billing system is unclear, and your staff use it to confuse and intimidate customers. Instead of taking responsibility, you chose to attack and insult paying customers. That says everything people need to know about how your business operates.

We paid for everything. We have proof. You tried to twist the situation and shift the blame onto us. Your response only confirms how dishonest and unprofessional your...

Me and the better half absolutely love a good burger, and as such finding somewhere to impress us gets harder and harder once we've become accustomed to the next best.

Over the last few years our bolt hole for a guaranteed decent burger had been GBK, and everything we've tried hasn't stood up to this EVERY time, or, just wasn't on par.

I don't just mean a large burger, a juicy burger, a good looking burger, I mean a burger that doesn't have that chew that lets you know it's over worked, a burger that doesn't have lower quality cuts of meat, a burger that genuinely leaves you in a state of pleasure.

Well... MEATliquor has likely absolutely ruined GBK for us! We both had the dead hippie, and honestly I was ready to work my way through the rest of the menu there and then, but alas, having consumed the fries, and Mac & cheese bites as well we were both pleasantly full.

This thing was an absolute experience. The cheese to meat ratio spot on. The taste, texture and quality of the patty, almost 100% perfect. And it held itself together so you could actually eat it with your hands.

The fries were lovely (I preferred the GBK fries, she overruled in favour of MEATliquor), the sauces perfectly balanced.

The milkshake was lacking something, a little thin on texture, but I'll put that down to a pure milk and ice recipe rather than the use of ice-cream. The taste was on point though.

It was also a lovely venue, she really liked the design. We went on a Friday evening, so the music was a bit loud for my preference, but alas it was a Friday evening!

Staff very pleasant and accommodating.

Service charge is automatically included. Not an issue, but we ordered through the web app (QR code on table), and I feel this is a bit cheeky as I've done the ordering. If we place the order with the staff, fine, no argument, but I've done that part of the workload, and no option to reduce/remove in the app. (Additionally, what happened to paying staff correctly so customers aren't required to prop up their pay (general comment about the food industry, not directly at MEATliquor)).

The only downside to this experience is that we do not have a MEATliquor that we can consider as local, so whilst this venue has likely become our new favourite, it will have to be reserved for when we make the...

My husband and I used to come here all the time (we would even walk and get take out over covid) but since moving out of London it was has been a while! We decided to pop in after an event (we were both wearing really formal clothes). We tried to use the Photo Booth which took payment but didn’t print our photos. We were told it was broken and to contact the company directly. That was annoying but the reason for the 1 star is they served my sober husband an alcoholic beer. By the grace of god he checked the can before he had it, the entire restaurant was pretty much empty so most of the staff were just chatting amongst each other, I finally just got up after I wasn’t able to flag anyone down and handed them back the beer saying this has alcohol in it. No apology was given, it was very nonchalantly dealt with. At the end of the meal I went to complain to the manager and immediately she started shouting at me saying all I was after was a free meal. Again I was in pretty much really formal wear but she kept screaming again and again I’m “begging for a free meal” I was just wanting to know how they would deal with ensuring they do not make the mistake of serving alcohol to someone who is an alcoholic. They did not fully grasp how serious this was and I was just shouted at. I’m just so shocked with how we were treated while we were there. The behaviour of the manager was horrendous, a security guard had to come over to calm her down. It’s such a shame as we used to go all the time as we both used to live and work near the SW and W1 meat Liqor. I’m not sure what’s happened but the staff now working there are complete opposite of what you think of when we used to go. It used to be such a fun friendly environment with a really welcoming atmosphere, now it’s just really poor service and clearly the manager that night was looking for an argument. Such a shame but we will never go back after how badly we were treated. I really hope they look into this and understand the seriousness of the...

This restaurant has plenty of cool decor and atmosphere, but we were disappointed by the food. Food wise I would have expected a heartier meal or higher quality meal in terms of ingredients or preparation. Burger was a little dry and could have used a sauce of some type, more than came with it. The burger was pretty bland too, not much flavour or spice especially considering it had a bunch of jalapeños. I get that stuff like chipotle mayo is generic but the reason sauces like it are everywhere is because they really give a missing flavour to a lot of things, something like that really would have helped with the burger. Fries wise the green chilli cheese fries didn’t have enough chilli, and the fries themselves were mediocre and dry even with the chili. If you end up going here, I’d recommend getting a garlic ranch with your burger or fries to help with the missing flavour. Appetizer wise the mozzarella sticks and fried pickles were both great and I have no notes. Atmosphere and decor wise it’s wall to wall covered in art, funky wallpaper, neon and coloured lighting. They have space for people to dance on a small dance floor and they had a live DJ playing too. Even though his set was standard in my opinion, you can respect the effort the place puts into atmosphere. All said the atmosphere and service are both great, but on the food front once you’ve paid £13 for a burger, £5-9 pounds for fries, and then £1.50 for a dip to help them both, you figure if you’re just looking for food you’re probably better off just eating elsewhere.

I took a group of four friends on 9th October and I had really looked forward to it. We had booked and no problems getting to our table which was an oval shaped booth with a long table. Food aside, the overall experience was poor. They provided menus but we were encouraged us to over via the app and we obliged. However in retrospect, it was a bad move, it was far more difficult than it should have been. Too dark to scan the QR code which was in a very awkward position behind the booth instead of on the table. Ordering site very slow for all of us. When our food came, it all came on giant trays which wouldn't all fit on the table. And they combined two orders (made separately) for two of us sitting at opposite ends of the long table. One order took 15 mins longer than the others. The music was waaaaay too loud (I'm under 40) to allow the four of us to chat. Then I thought I would drown my sorrows in another cocktail I liked the sound of. It was in the printed menu but not in the app, so I waved someone down. They said they were doing all the drinks in the printed menu... but when I ordered the Sour Cherry Smash they said they no longer do it as a short over ice as it was printed, but only as a slushy. I didn't want a slushy - I wanted what I'd been tempted by in the menu. Double checked - they wouldn't make it as a short. So we went elsewhere for cocktails. P.S. Charging a transaction fee online when providing less service is a dumb move.

Meat Liquor is a vibrant and bustling burger joint located in the heart of London's West End. Known for its indulgent burgers and creative cocktails, the restaurant offers a unique and memorable dining experience. Pretty no-frills burgers but with a hefty price for what it is. Atmosphere: The atmosphere at Meat Liquor is loud and energetic, with dark and grungy decor that is complemented by loud music. Service: The staff is friendly and helpful, and the service is efficient. Our waiter (either NZ or AUS) was great and professional! Food and Drink: The burgers at Meat Liquor are hearty and delicious, with generous portions of high-quality beef and flavorful toppings. The Buffalo Chicken burger is a must-try, with its buffalo sauce, and the Mac & Cheese bites are great but a little overpriced. The drinks menu at Meat Liquor is extensive, with an impressive selection of creative cocktails, beers, and spirits. The cocktails are particularly noteworthy. The downside to Meat Liquor is the long wait times, particularly during peak hours. Price: The price is quite high for a decent burger but judging by the location, I think its understandable. Overall, Meat Liquor is a great spot for anyone looking for a indulgent burger experience in London. The food is tasty and satisfying, the atmosphere is lively and memorable, and the prices are reasonable. Just be prepared to wait for a table during peak hours.
