I went there with 2 of my friends ordered 3 pints and as we were standing next to one of the tables I have plugged in my vape to charge it up .we went and sat down outside ,after a while I can assume it was manageress came over and said" thanks for asking if you can use our electricity " I replied "sorry I did not asked" to which I got" I know I was being sarcastic " I find sarcasm to br the lowest form of wit and absolutely no place in costumer service .I have asked how much does she want me to pay for it .lady got upset and went inside and unplugged my device .as she did not disconnected vape first before she pulled the plug my device is not working anymore. 15Ā£ for beers that we did not finish and 85Ā£ for a device that I paid and it's in the bin now plus basically slap in the face ,all this for probably about 2p of the electricity. I just don't understand. It's not even horrible costumer service but as a human being you should not be like this . I don't know what is the status of that place (franchise or whatever ) but youngs company has a name on it. I would be very careful and concern to be associated with this kind of establishment. Reputation is probably one of the biggest assets of any company and incident like this is not doing it any favors to say the least. I can only hope lady had a bad day ,otherwise I feel sorry for people around her . Horrible. It is my local pub but I won't be coming back .still not too sure what am I supposed to do about the fact that I am 85Ā£ out of pocket. Good luck to you lady ./In business as well as in personal life/ hope you feel better...

Absolutely horrifying experience at The Ship Pub. On the night of March 6th, a group of individuals was subjected to vile racist, homophobic, and ableist abuse by two men in the smoking area. When this was reported to the landlady, she did nothing to remove the attackers, allowing them to continue their intimidation. As the group left, these men escalated to physical violence, assaulting multiple people.

Rather than supporting the victims, the landlady actively tried to stop them from calling the police or filming the attack. She even locked the doors of the pub, refusing them entry while the attackers remained outside. This is beyond negligent—this is complicity in hate crimes.

The Ship Pub is NOT a safe space for queer or non-white people. The fact that they claim to be "LGBTQ+ friendly" while allowing this to happen is appalling. If you care about safety and inclusivity, avoid this place...

The lady who runs the pub is so rude, she only like her regulars, you can't sit at the front of the bar, but ask the bar maid and she said it's OK to sit there, we ordered our drinks and with in 2 minutes the landlady can out from behind the bar saying can't sith there, the pub is dirty, no drink mats on the tables, no atmosphere what so ever, its just all men, no couples or families, bar maid was very nice and polite, shame the landlady is not, there was 2 couples and my nephew we went in there to eat but drunk our drinks and left, so they lost about £100 plus from us, we went to the black smith arms, lovely pub good atmosphere, family run, lots of families and couples, the food is beautiful and pub is so clean, and professional bar staffs, interact with...

Came here again today, Tim still at the helm, fantastic staff and great atmosphere from the regulars... ---- previous feedback---- Came here for work and found a fantastic pub nestled in a built up housings and business estate. Lots of local customers enjoying a bit of calm away from the hustle of London traffic a few streets away... Tim (The landlord) is a very pleasant chap, very welcoming and accommodating. This pub has ample indoor and outdoor seating, dog and child friendly with toys and books on the shelves for the kiddies to use. A little pub with a big heart... Great place to get a little you time.

Great local pub with amazing food and fun atmosphere. Came here on Friday night and enjoyed the whole experience. Ordered at the bar and found and open table. A few tables opened but a very lively crowd was enjoy themselves eating, drinking, and chatting. Food came out hot and tasted delicious. Excited to come back and try other items as the steak and ale pie looked delicious on the table next door. Also want to try the Sunday roast as I’ve heard good things. Service was fast and friendly and there’s even table games available if you’d like an activity with your drinks. Highly recommend trying this gem.

Good Rotherhithe pub not far from Southwark Park. Two cask beers on handpump when I last visited. Lots of outdoor seating at the front and in the pretty garden to the rear, some of it covered. The pub was built in the 1930s but there has been a Ship Inn on this site since at least the early 19th century. Unusually, this pub is one of the few in England to have had two names at the same time. Until 1985 a sign on one side of the pub called it the Great Eastern, after a steamship built on the Isle of Dogs by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, while on the other side of the building it was called the Ship.
