🚇 Lambeth North 🍺 £5.60 Estrella ❤️ A vibrant pub with a strong craft beer and pizza game. . The Ship is located on Kennington Road, the nearest tube station is Lambeth North which is a ten minute walk. . The pub was built around 1830 and is set back from the road allowing for an outdoor space at the front. . The decor here is vibrant and eclectic which sets an uplifting tone. This is a good size pub with the orange servery taking centre stage, oh and check out those pendant lights. . The beer choice is full rotating craft beers and familiar favourites, I opted for an Estrella which was a good pint and under six quid. The food offering is pizza, most cost around a tenner and if you visit on a Monday there’s a deal £7 pizza deal. . There was a nice feel to the place and it felt like a neighbourhood pub. This pub hosts quiz evenings and also shows live sport. The service was good, the member of staff who served me friendly and served with a smile. . The @shipse11 is one of those pubs that you immediately felt welcomed in and there is a nice vibe here. The majority of the beer is sourced from local breweries which should be celebrated and the food is highly commended. This pub offers a great experience and is definitely worth a visit. . ℹ️ Information correct on...

I called three months ago, spoke with management who penciled in my 30th birthday in the calendar. The reason I planned ahead is because I knew it would be the World Cup (like any football fan). They confirm that it is going ahead on the phone.
I call a month later to check in again and they mention the World Cup but admit that they already have my event penciled in and that I should just send an email with information and numbers of people. I send the email and receive no response.
I call yet again this evening only to have the manager say the policy was only walk ins during World Cup and that they couldn't have an event. This is now two weeks before my birthday. No notification that my event would be canceled, no response to my emails...nothing. Maybe this is what happens when a pub is just owned by some chain because they literally have 0 attachment to their customer base...

It’s the kind of place that feels like a secret, even though it’s right in the heart of the City. The interior is cozy and full of character, with wood-panelled walls, vintage mirrors, and a warm, welcoming vibe.
The real ales are well-kept, the wine list solid, and the staff know their stuff — friendly without being overbearing. The food is classic pub fare done right: hearty, satisfying, and served with a generous dose of British hospitality. Whether you’re popping in for a pint or settling in for a longer evening, the atmosphere makes it easy to relax and enjoy.
