The Stag’s Head is a real hidden gem, tucked away on the corner of Orsman Road and Halcomb Street in Shoreditch/Hoxton. This historical pub not only has a great selection of craft beers and delicious food, it also hosts live music nights most days of the week and has a huge heated beer garden. We came for Phil’s Open Mic, as it turns out Phil, the host has won not one but two Grammy Awards and he used to work with none lesser than Bob Marley, Phil Collins, Cher and many other famous musicians. The music and the atmosphere was phenomenal! We also tried the food, most of the menu consists of traditional pub food, but there are a few dishes which you wouldn’t expect in a pub. We had a Hungarian Goulash and a Beef Curry and both dishes were delicious. The food is very reasonably priced, especially for the area, all the main courses are between £9-£13, there’s literally nowhere in the area where you would get such a delicious meal for so cheap!!! Maria, the manager also told us that the pub, being a listed building is often chosen for shooting location of famous movies. Among them Legend with Tom Hardy and My Policeman with Harry Styles was shot in The Stag’s Head. We had a fabulous time, and would love to thank the lovely staff and the manager Maria, for looking after us, and for the excellent recommendations! I’m definitely...

🍺 £5.70 Madri ❤️ A beautifully preserved East London pub. . Nestled on the border of Hoxton & Haggerston you will find The Stag’s Head. The nearest station is Haggerston overground which is a ten minute walk away. . This Grade II listed beauty is another one of A.E Sewell’s Truman’s masterpieces. This pub was built in 1936 and pretty much retains all of its original features. . As you step inside this 1930’s boozer the charm continues. The bar, partitions and woodwork are just magnificent, a lot of love and care has gone into maintaining this wonderful example of Interwar architecture and design. . The beer choice wasn’t overly complicated, my pint of Madri was a nice drop and under six nicker. The food menu is American influenced using local suppliers and British produce where possible. . I visited late on a Saturday afternoon and the pub was quiet. This pub does have a lively side, there are regular gig’s which are held in the back bar. This pub showcases all types of music from rock n roll to Jazz, check out their insta for upcoming gigs. . The @thestagsheadhoxton_ is part a set of unique pubs that were built across London in the 1930’s. You may not be a drinker or a foodie but you may be a fan of architecture and design and heritage and for that alone this pub has to be on your must visit list. . ℹ️ Info correct on...

I find Stags Head as a traditional British pub located on Orsman Road in Shoreditch, London. It is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, and is known for its delicious food, friendly service, and lively atmosphere.

I recently had the opportunity to visit The Stags Head for a meal, and I was very impressed. The food was delicious, and I highly recommend the Beef Curry. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the meat was so tender it melted in my mouth. The service was also excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I was particularly impressed by the fact that The Stags Head is a great place to meet locals. I sat at the bar and had a conversation with a 102-year-old man who had been coming to the pub for over 50 years. It was fascinating to hear his stories about the pub and the surrounding area over the years.

The Stags Head also has a great atmosphere. There was live music playing when I was there, which really added to the magic of the place. I would definitely recommend The Stags Head to anyone looking for a delicious meal, friendly service, and a...

This must be one of my favourite random discoveries in London. Went here for some food on a Sunday, the lady at the bar was super nice and friendly, the pub is an old one with classic old school charm and they have this lovely and chill beer garden. We stayed in the garden and enjoyed a cold pint. I had the baby chicken Sunday roast and my friend had the vegan pizza. We were both happy with the food and they have big portions so you won’t leave hungry for sure! Cute story - this is the bar where part of Baby Rain-deer was filmed. Check the front of the pub for a visual reminder (the moment when the guy goes to work and opens the pub’s doors). I would highly recommend this place if you want a chill time 🦌🍻🥩🍕
