A really lovely spot! Recently visited while on a walk along the canal with my dad and was instantly attracted to this little cafe 'by the bridge'. Went in and had some lunch - he had the eggs on toast with basil dressing - which was a secret recipe of the chef who made it, which my dad said was divine. I had the veggie bagel with halloumi and it was so fresh, loaded with goodness and made really well! The location is great - it marries the hustle and bustle of London with a bit of serenity thanks to their rooftop terrace (accessed by a cute winding iron staircase) and really cool street art on the walls - it was all very charming! We sat for quite some time and probably could have stayed longer with their delicious iced coffees and background music! It's definitely a good brunch spot to sit and catch up with friends and family. We actually were lucky enough to talk to one of the owners - Hande (I think, sorry if I have spelt your name wrong!) and she was really great! Lots of passion for her place and the area, runs charity events and wants to ensure that she builds a community with her brand - really inspiring actually! Anyway - good food, good location and good people - couldn't recommend more!

The place is in a nice area by the canal with great views. I’ve ordered chicken burger with sweet potato wedges, instead I got very dark chips (that looked like what I’ve ordered). I commented it to the waiter and he apologised before offering me the right ones, but the burger was nearly finished so I declined; I then got offered a discount for the mistake but when I paid I was charged full amount. I was just embarrassed to say it again. The chips were very dark and even though we’re not burn they were really greasy. The flavour was average for the whole food. I don’t like to give bad ratings but just to be fair with other places with top service and great flavour. It’s a good place to have a drink though, but not sure about food (maybe I was just unlucky :( ) and

The By the Bridge Cafe (BTB Cafe) is a decent spot offering a fairly safe haven for those needing to retreat following an overheat on the nearby regent's canal. I stopped in here with a couple of acquaintances during a sunday stroll along the Canal. Accessibility would be an issue at this venue. There is a partly covered roof terrace offerimg great vistas over the canal, but this is reached via a spiral metal staircase meaning it would be difficult for those otherly abled to gain appropriate access to. Decent beer selection at this small cafe/bar, staff were friendly and welcoming. I would not hesitate to return but feel that other venues along the canal may offer a more optimium drinking experience.

It looks rather unassuming from the outside, but is actually a cool, well decorated, hip atmosphere within. Upon entry I was greeted very well and ascended the spiral staircase to a lovely open rooftop area. Unfortunately the waiter didn't deal very quickly with my request that the table be cleaned before I sat down, but he was very quick with taking my orders and actually provided me with a glass of water when initially he had told me to help myself.

The food was excellent standard. The eggs were lovely and seasoned, the avocado was quite unique in its citrussy freshness. Unfortunately the roast potatoes were too dry and the waiter did not check back; if he had, I would have asked for mayonnaise and salt. There was also a small hair in the smoked salmon (if this wasn't the case, I would have given 5* for food).

No pressure was given to me for the return of the table and I did feel welcome. The waiter did well, although he seemed quite busy and uncertain of some things. I would suggest more check ins with customers sitting on the roof top and perhaps more condiments up there.

Thank you for a good, quick service and a friendly and...

I used to love this place and had been coming regularly for coffee and cocktails over the past four years. Sadly, it’s really gone downhill.

I stopped going for coffee about a year ago after repeatedly receiving incorrect orders, and the quality of the coffee had noticeably declined. It no longer had the same strength or flavour it once did.

I gave it another try recently during their advertised “happy hour” for cocktails, but it was a deeply disappointing experience. The staff were shockingly rude to my friend, who was shouted at for using the toilet (despite us being paying customers sitting outside). To make matters worse, she was misgendered in a passive-aggressive and disrespectful way.

The cocktails themselves were tiny, and once additional charges were added to the drinks (despite it being a self-service set-up where you order at the bar), the happy hour pricing didn’t feel like a deal at all and was very expensive for the quality.

It’s such a shame to see how much this place has changed. I'm assuming its under new ownership? Based on the poor service and unpleasant atmosphere, I won’t...
