Stopped here Monday for early dinner. No one else there. The person serving was friendly, interiors nicer than I expected. Food was disappointing. We had vegetable tempura which isn’t anything like normal tempura at a Japanese restaurant. It was mainly potato, and bits of other veg squashed flat. I think it could have been frozen. It was tasteless. My pumpkin curry was okay. However, the curry sauce too runny. My partner had salmon teriyaki which was okay. It was unauthentic. Read moreTried Sushi & Co. recently and honestly, it was spot on. The place has a really clean, chilled vibe, and the staff were super friendly ( Imtiaz) . The sushi tasted fresh and well put together the salmon nigiri literally melted in my mouth, and the rolls had the perfect balance of flavour. Even the hot dishes were solid, so it’s not just about raw fish here.
Everything came out looking proper Instagram-worthy too, so you eat with your eyes first. It’s the kind of place that feels good for a casual bite with friends or even a proper dinner when you want something a bit nicer.
