Walked in for first visit in a little over two years. All started well but after being served i looked around for a seat to be told by a guy (who presumably works there) who was sitting drinking, maybe on his day off but he was doing a fair old amount of walking behind the bar so was difficult to tell, that i would have to sit outside in the garden. There were two people playing pool and three seats nearby but i was told i couldn't sit at one of them. This would not have been a great problem on any other day but there was torrential rain outside and a nice day for ducks. To be slightly fair i was eventually allowed to sit on a stool by the fruit machine but told after playing i again must sit outside. Now i understand with Corona and all they have limited seating and have probably been told to enforce seated drinking - no problem with that. However it could have been easy to have someone on the door explaining if i wanted to come in i would have to sit outside or a sign on the door saying 'maximum people... X' i would then have said thanks but no thanks another time, without them taking my money first. I had earlier had a pint at the Goose and indeed someone on the door asked if i would like to sit in or out. Again if it is due to Corona id understand but they didn't ask for any contact details- the only pub that ive seen not do this since Sept 4th. Despite all this- and this visit was a one star visit i will give 3 stars for all the other good times i had previously and didn't comment. The prices remain...
Read moreThe costumer service is really , really bad! Have been in the queue for about 10 minutes. Then we were approached eather by the owner or the manger who has told us that the pub is closed (at 9:30pm( on there websites is clearly stated that is closing at 12am)) and that is open for locals only.
We have just moved to the area, and just wanted to see the naighbourhood , so this rude rude behaviour screamed "Welcome to the naighbourhood". That saying, the owners clearly does not know how to serve their costumers.
DO NOT VISIT THIS PUB , THEY DONT WANT YOU OR YOUR MONEY, ITS FOR THE LOCALS...
Read moreUsed to drink in this pub many years ago. Unfortunately as the pub kept changing hands, one particular landlady ruined it and it closed for a while. Still get someone who takes advantage of good natured helpful people but it's well noted and makes them highly unpopular!! Popped down for a drink the other night happy to see some of the familiar faces from the past and a nice...
