This restaurant may have won an award but it was many years ago and the food and service now is terrible... The waiters are rude and certainly arrogant, the owner is equally as rude.
The food once it was served was cold and tasteless, I was shocked as a chicken Jalfrezi should have lots of spice and plenty of heat, mine had neither. The king prawn shashlik was dry and burnt, I guess the seafood is not fresh.
The tables are to small for this kind of restaurant, our food wouldn't fit on the table, my wife was handed her rice and left holding it as the table was full. What a disgrace.
The restaurant is in poor condition, menus held together with sellotape, dirty table cloths and a general feeling of being run down. They do get busy, I'm not sure exactly why as there's many many better restaurants around.
Don't be fooled by the old reviews and don't get swept up in the award winning nonsense, it's now a low grade restaurant best suited for late pub trade.
A small message to the Manager, don't think that you are invincible as you've had a few awards, if you continue to serve low grade food and serve people with no care then your business will suffer in the end.
Very dissapointed! Shall never return and shall be sure to let...
Read moreHaven't visited here for years but was always happy with food etc,but tonight really showed how far this place has gone downhill. I'd heard from a few friends and family that the restaurant had gone downhill but unfortunately I decided to give it a try. Food was OK at best apart from one dish that was so salty it was inedible, had poppadoms,1 main corse each,2 rice's between us,2 nans between us,1 sag paneer and 1 chips( there were 3 of us) had 2 pints of beer 2 ciders a lemonade and 2 cokes and the bill was over £100. Which is ridiculous, a few weeks back at another local Indian we had more and the bill was 85 quid. Don't waste your time or money going here, award winning? Maybe 10 years ago but definitely living on past glory. Service was pretty poor also,to the point where I asked the 2 people I was dining with If we'd done something to upset the...
Read moreI ordered some food here the other week for delivery. First of all the man on the other line, was not attentive, did not ask for my address, and then I placed the order I had to ask him to repeat this back, and how much (as he was about to hang up). So I waited the 45 mins - 1 hour as said, and call back, to them not understanding what happened, and my order still needing more time. In other words, they forgot, and had to quickly cook this. I called back again, and still saying longer. When the food arrives, the food was missing the naan breads, even though I said my order a few times to different people, and got them to repeat this. It is a shame as the food is really nice, but their sloppy customer service has put me right off, and I will try the other Indian's down the same...
