I walked up to this shop and saw six people in line. Curious to see what the buzz was about, I joined as the seventh, and before I knew it, more people were lining up behind me. Despite the crowd, I waited no more than four minutes to be served—and it was absolutely worth it. I was handed one of the finest cups of coffee I’ve ever had.
As I enjoyed my coffee, a few thoughts crossed my mind: How incredible the two entrepreneurs running this shop are. How delicious and well-sourced the beans must be. How smooth and efficient the entire operation is.

Read moreGreat coffee, but that's all. I've wasted so much time queuing here, even though I'm only ever going through after rush hour. (Normally 10.30/11am). Even if there are only two other people queuing it can take a long time to get a coffee. Staff have been inattentive and ignore people waiting. On one occasion I had to ask to pay as there was no communication between the person on the "till" and the barista. This place also looks tatty, and not in the reclaimed/low-fi kind of way they're aiming for. Crappy plastic containers for unappetising pastries and dirty cupboard fronts. Not worn and used, just dirty looking. It's a shame as the coffee is great, the idea is good, but poorly executed and why (especially in this location) is this a cash only enterprise which is closed half the time? (I've never seen it open after lunchtime). Must be tough going being opposite a Starbucks which provides inferior quality coffee, but is...
