We were looking forward to grabbing a quick bite at the Upper Crust stall in Waterloo, but sadly, the vibe was a letdown. Right from the start, there was a noticeable lack of warmth and welcome from the staff. It felt as if there was an air of indifference, a lack of the friendly, engaging buzz you hope for when you’re looking to grab a quick, enjoyable bite.

Our enthusiasm to try something tasty quickly turned to disappointment. The disjointed atmosphere and the seemingly uninterested demeanor of the staff made us feel overlooked and undervalued, making us reconsider our choice to try the food.

In an area like Waterloo, where there’s so much culinary competition, you really expect each stall to put their best foot forward in terms of service. But Upper Crust seemed to miss the memo. Until there’s a change in attitude and a more customer-friendly approach, we’re hesitant to give it another go.

We left Upper Crust, appetites unfulfilled and a bit disheartened by the experience, still on the hunt for a place with a more inviting aura and...

Having exhausted options available to me in other stores (gluten intolerance) I decided to make an inquiry to see if they might have some gluten free bread at upper crust, two employees talking over each other and over me just kept asking me if I had any allergies and pointing at an allergen sheet saying check before you buy any sandwich. All I was asking was if they had any gluten free bread, but the concept of gluten just did not seem to register. After repeating my inquiry to them several times and still being referred to an allergen sheet, I had to give up , because clearly they would know if any of their bread was gluten free , it's not really an add on ingredient like mayo or mustard, it's a whole different bread. I'm not disappointed that they didn't have any options for me, I've come to accept lack of gluten free sandwiches in shops, I was just surprised that people working in a sandwich shop did not what gluten was and had no basic understanding of what they...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Upper Crust Food Shop, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

The menu at Upper Crust Food Shop offers a delightful range of options, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty sandwich, a fresh salad, or a delectable baked good, they have something to satisfy every craving. The ingredients used are of the highest quality, and the attention to detail in each dish is evident.

I must commend the chefs at Upper Crust Food Shop for their culinary expertise. The flavors in every bite were exquisite, and the presentation of the dishes was artful. Each dish was prepared with care and precision, resulting in an explosion of taste that delighted my palate the people who served me was sabiha and Kamal they had excellent customer service...

Poor customer service, when I was served person on the till used a gesture like they were trying to get rid of fly, or something similar, when I was done; had to hand them my phone to get barcode scanned since scanner outside didn't work. Food was below average, not many ingredients inside and didn't feel fresh either. I like the brand, used them a lot at Paddington when I worked there but this branch didn't deliver at all. I don't mind if people don't smile or being polite, hard to do that when you earn most likely minimum wage in London, but rudeness is still too much. Maybe it was cultural difference, don't want to judge. Anyway, stay away, use different branch.

I was in Waterloo on a Friday morning and happened to come by this nice little place to eat called Upper Crust. Purchase a croissant and a coffee. I was served by a delightful Indian lady who was friendly and very efficient. The little shop sells baguettes of all kinds and the usual snacks and drips etc that you would come to expect from those sort of places. They had a decent range of soft drinks and bottle drinks. The price was very reasonable and not expensive and it seemed clean and well looked after store. Overall I would highly recommend this place.
