My experience this time around was not pleasant at all,all down to management. The ‘manager’ was/is sarcastic, not welcoming and defensive for no reason. I usually book this place for work events due to the service by the waiters/waitresses, this time, I booked for a personal occasion, being that for my brothers 40th surprise lunch/dinner. I invited 10 guests in which we all arrived on time (particularly myself - 15 mins ahead of the booked time). We were seated accordingly by one of the waitresses. On the website, it said ‘happy hour daily 4pm-7pm’, I sent that to the guests prior to us attending the venue. My guests arrived and thought it would be good to wait the extra 15 mins for happy hour before ordering any food / drinks, the waitress was aware of this and came back and said it’s actually from Monday to Friday, I contested this and asked to speak with the manager as the website says otherwise and it adds to the atmosphere. I walked with her to the manager, he didn’t see me at first but I noticed how hostile he was being towards her when she mentioned about my query in which I interrupted and said ‘hi hi, I made the query and it’s a shame we are being told this as I told all my guests about the happy hour as stated on the website’, his response was ‘so what, your guests only came for the happy hour?’, in which I looked at him and explained that we haven’t only come for the happy hour, he then said ‘so what do you want me yo do cause I can’t give you that and daily doesn’t mean Saturday and Sunday’, noticing how defensive and sarcastic his responses were especially saying Saturday and Sunday are not daily was what drew the line for me & using his hands etc , I proceeded on to say ‘there’s no need to be sarcastic and demeaning, I book this space regularly for work events not for happy hour, but for the food and service however, this time around your service has not been just which is disappointing to say the least, so don’t worry about the happy hour though it’s meant to be honoured’, he tried to call me back and say he will give me ‘something’ but I refused to carry on the exchange and I started to feel extremely upset by his mannerisms. Anyways, we then proceeded to leave, I asked for my brothers cake back and when one of my brothers friends came with me to ask, the same manager said ‘but I tried to give you something to help and you didn’t want it so’, I repeatedly said to him that all is well it is fine and the were not staying here, in which he tried to argue with me to the point where my brothers friend said to the manager ‘listen, we’re not staying here and that’s final so stop trying to argue with her’. We left, went to another venue (that didn’t have happy hour, and had the best time and my brother was extremely happy, luckily he didn’t see the managers behaviour as it would’ve ruined everything). Unfortunately I will not be recommending this place or bringing business here until there is a significant change.
Tips: management training, an apology, time off if he is stressed, or go and find a job he enjoys if he isn’t enjoying this one. I have added screenshots as receipts of what it said on the website re happy hour on the day as I have noticed they have changed it to ‘happy hour...

We arrived early for our booking - called ahead to ask if we could walk in for the bar - man who answered kept misunderstanding and wasn’t polite.
When we walked near the entrance, a man who was part of security in plain clothes assisted and asked about shisha for us to a colleague, but we decided to have drinks, have dinner, then finish off with shisha.
When we walked in, no one came to us for drinks until we chased. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome.
One thing to add - the bar stools were too heavy to move and difficult to get on and off which made it inconvenient.
We had to chase staff and the manager for our table even though we had a booking - it wasn’t busy. There was no vibe even. Beautiful decor though. Once seated, the server took ages to come back for us to order starters.
It took ages for starters to come, and the blue cheese sauce was forgotten about until we chased numerous times. We even had to chase plates as they weren’t given.
Yet again, it took ages for the mains and for us to get more tissues.
I went to the ladies toilets which were so smokey as if something was alight. I raised this and was told a vent needed opening.
Our chicken was very dry. Had to request for our candle to be lit many times.
After this whole experience we got free drinks because we overheard the table next to us being offered this for the poor service.
By the end of this, the shisha terrace shut before we could go because of the food wait and we were told by our server that we should’ve eaten outside (in the cold & also didn’t expect such a delay on food) which wasn’t a fair suggestion.
Chased dessert 3x only for it to come within seconds when we asked last person as already prepped. We were not given any cutlery to eat dessert with & not tasty, dry and stale as if been left out & no flavour.
Many couples complained. We were told this service was due to slow kitchen staff as it’s Valentine’s Day but this wasn’t acceptable and this day wasn’t an unexpected booking of 50 people, was a day they should have prepared for.
One lovely lady (Makita or something similar) we turned to, offered for them to reimburse our taxi cost to go shisha at their other site that was open late, but we decided to have that fee taken off our bill instead, along with the discount for the service.
Once we got the amended bill however, she then walked off whilst holding the card machine and we again had to wait ages for...

We went for my sisters birthday with a party of 18 people, as was expected we were placed on four separate tables due to covid, which is perfectly fine. Upon arrival, they told us there was no booking, when we had proof we had paid 100 pounds deposit.
When it came to orders we were told starters and mains had to be brought out at the same time, my table argued this and they agreed to bring them in intervals, hence the name starter. They brought meals out for one table at a time, each with intervals of more than 30 minutes, which meant we had people waiting to eat and others had already finished their starters and meals. (Baring in mind we had booked this in advance and paid a deposit due to the amount of people, therefore expected that we would at least be served more or less at the same time, rather than people waiting around for 1.5 hours for others to eat).
In addition, meals arrived without their side orders of chips and even when staff were notified of this, the chips arrived 30 minutes later to accompany the meal.
The worst part of the service was the fact that the servers who had already served one table who had completed their meal, then went back to the same table to give them a second round of mains, which was for the last table who had not recieved any food for almost two hours.
Further added to this, they then came to the table with a 30 pound steak and asked us who's it was, when we asked what steak it is and how it was cooked (as many of us had ordered different steaks and asked them to be cooked differently). The waitress then went off in a huff stating she did not know what it was or how it was cooked and walked around with a £30 steak, which got cold by the time she had returned to the kitchen to find out what it was.
Absolutely appauling. For such a beautiful location the service really let's the restaurant down. As a gesture of good will the manager said she would take the service charge off, whereas this is discretionary, therefore was not making a gesture of good will. I may as well of...
