Beautiful setting. Helpful staff. Lovely food. And when you find a restaurant that gives back to their community, you know you have found a gem. I refer many of the clients I work with who struggle with the cost of living. They have a 'pay what you can afford' community lunch.' Many of my clients cannot afford to pay, and this was fine. No fuss is made, and they are not made to feel embarrassed. May I just add that the free community lunches are top quality with fresh ingredients. Fabulous local gem that I am embarrassed to say I have not taken enough advantage of. Went here with the in laws... Altho we were a tad unimaginative and all had the burger!!! It was very tasty... If a tad overcooked for me however such a lovely ethos, staff and location I will definitely be going back again soon!!!! Love it!!!! The starters and desert were amazing (the chilli paneer is the best thing I have tasted for ages) but they are really let down by the slow service. When we visited it was far from full but there was long gaps between courses – I think they will massively struggle if the place was full.

Their main courses are good. but don’t live up to the standard set by the starter (which admittedly is very high).
