What an excellent restaurant! It's a little further away from a lot of the restaurants in Croydon's restaurant quarter but well worth seeking out, and it's easy to find. It used to be a branch of Miso but since getting new management who broke free of the chain and went independent , it has gone from strength to strength. Probably my favourite Chinese restaurant now! The food is delicious and well presented and with much reduced MSG levels than other restaurants. A good selection of dishes and something to please everyone. (they do great Kung Po chicken and the Pad Thai is delicious!!!) The staff are caring and attentive, and the prices are good for the great quality they offer. They also do take away which I have frequently enjoyed when having a quiet night in.(i usually collect but I believe they do...

Not recommended for special dietary requirements, even if they claim they can cater to them.

The food has gotten greasier over the years, and their dishes sometimes include surprises that aren't on the menu. I ended up eating chicken in a vegan dish some time back, and today, my pescatarian friend was served chicken as a substitute for her seafood, even though chicken wasn't listed in that dish on the menu. Also, given she went for the gluten free noodles, it makes no sense that the king prawns in the dish appeared to be dusted with wheat (again, not mentioned on the menu).

I reached the point where I became embarrassed to recommend this restaurant to friends because they always complained afterwards. I personally haven't been here for a long time, and today I was...

Why I ordered tempura here I'll never really understand, I guess I'm just an optimist. Four oddly long and thin factory-produced fingers of batter (thankfully crunchy but not very appealing otherwise) with prawn tails sticking out of one end appeared. I bit one off in the middle and if I looked very closely at the end I could just see a thin piece of white flesh in the middle. Thai sweet chilli sauce as a dip - really? Is that the best you could come up with? Noodles with vegetable stir-fry came next. The noodles were overcooked and in very short lengths so I couldn't pick them up easily (alla spaghetti). The sauce was a non-descript brownish, almost flavourless and oily liquid. I'm pretty sure though that all the vegetables were fresh not frozen, so that's why two...

We went to this Chinese restaurant with my work colleagues on our lunch, without a reservation as it was a last minute decision. Despite going without a reservation, our starters and mains didn’t take too long. Their was 7 of us in total and waitress was very friendly and welcoming. They have a lunch deal where you pay Ā£10.95 for your main and starter. I didn’t really enjoy my starter because I made a wild choice, however I loved my main (Chicken Katsu)! We were all trying different food so some of us enjoyed our starters and some enjoyed the mains. The restaurant was clean and is easy to find as it’s on a main road. We enjoyed our time there too. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Chinese food!

I’m shocked at the amount of positive reviews this place has. The positive reviews played a huge part in me ordering from here. That, and the fact the menu sounds appetising. The food was terrible. I was so disappointed. I love East and South East Asian food but I couldn’t even finish this wonton soup. The blandness, the lack of quality ingredients… it was unpleasant. On top of which, the soup packaging was not fit for purpose. Most of the soup ended up spilling into the flimsy plastic bag it was being carried in. The char sui buns were better than the soup but I’ve had tastier char sui elsewhere.

Honest, friendly and lovely staff. My dad, daughter and I went for lunch to treat my dad on his birthday. My daughter ordered her dishes. And then I ordered for my dad and I, I then asked my dad if he would like anything else. The staff said I think that’s a lot there’s no need to order anything more. She was correct as we couldn’t finish it all had to take 4 containers home. Absolutely delicious and will definitely go there from now on. My dad said he hasn’t had a tasty Chinese like this for years! So he was very happy!
