The decor/atmosphere in the Wellcome Collection cafe area is nice. However, the food and service was a bit all over the place. I feel bad for leaving a bad review as I know the staff behind the till could be nice people, but I think it would help if they had some re-training as it was somewhat disorganised/slow. E.g. didn’t know what the soup of the day was, confusion over when I should pay so I had to go back to the till multiple times, probably took about 40 minutes for me to get some soup and bread even though the cafe was almost empty, and there was a lot of miscommunication between staff members (lady taking orders at the till and guy pouring soup/picking up slices of bread) leading to slow service (lots of confusion over how many soups had been ordered, or who to serve food to - I saw them serve my bread to another customer and then laugh about it later when they realised they’d got it wrong, then it took them another 10 minutes to pick up another slice of bread for me). I know everyone makes mistakes, but it seemed like they were confused during every step of the process. Luckily my friend and I weren’t in a rush or particularly hungry so we just laughed about it. As for the food - soup was like something you could buy in a pot from the supermarket (which is fine, just not worth the £6.50 I paid), and the bread was a bit of a joke (a single tiny slice of bread which looked like the cheapest bread you could get from a supermarket). This would have cost max. £2 from the supermarket. I’m hoping the profit goes towards something useful for the Wellcome Collection 😂😁

It’s a nice museum cafe upon entering with spacious ceilings and pretty nice decor, however, the food is abysmal. I paid £4 for a blueberry muffin and I took a bite in, I almost choked on it because of how stodgy it was. It was definitely over cooked, so much so that the inside was off coloured and too crumbly. The 4 pack tesco muffins for £1.50 are at least double as nice. I thought the food would be decent seeing as they outsource to benugo but it really was terrible.

Visited the Welcome Collection on a rainy Monday 30/09/2024 wishing to see an exhibition or two only to discover they're always closed on Mondays! The staff on duty were really lovely and so helpful 🌟 Instead we went to the cafe for hot drinks and to the shop. The shop's great and always worth a visit but the cafù invariably has really slow baristas and many people were hanging around waiting for their orders.

Wellcome Café’s ‘Perfect Matcha’—more like ‘Perfect Disaster!’ For ÂŁ4.60, we were served a murky, swamp-colored concoction that looked nothing like the beautiful bright green matcha in the ad. My friends and I bravely took a sip, only to be hit with a taste that can only be described as ‘vomit meets poo.’ None of us could make it past the first sip. It was a bonding experience, but only in the sense that we all bonded over how truly horrific it was. If I could give it zero stars, I would. On top of this, their desserts left out in the open with swarms of fruit flies are also truly disgusting. Please, save...

Its a nice place to take your family or eat by yourself for a couple of hours. Unfortunately the ambience/environment is pretty noisy and tables are close to eachother. Not ideal for studying/working because of this.

Pretty lighting on cafe cieling.

Food was alright, I ordered a cinnamon bun which was pretty much all sugar, and overpriced (ÂŁ4.80), cappuccino was nice, not as hot as I would have liked it and missing the chocolate powder.

Staff were friendly ans service was good, pretty fast. The toilets are very modern and...
