Whiskey Ginger — Restaurant in London

Normally so, so good. So drastically disappointing tonight. Turned up at 9pm after dinner, barmaid was talking to her friend (who she loudly offered discount too whilst discussing the fact shed given so much discount away to her mates that she would have to cover some of it another way later) and totally ignored the rest of the customers at the bar. When she did finish with her mate, she proceeded to clean glasses rather than respond to the customers who had been waiting . When my girlfriend came back from the toilet, I told her we should go somewhere else (it had been 8 minutes), upon leaving my girlfriend commented to a blonde employee of the bar that the service had evidently been a joke, to which she responded that it had been very busy upstairs. My girlfriend informed both the bar staff and myself that there were seven people upstairs, but the bar lady told us that they had infact ordered several drinks hence the delay. I don't quite understand why that made myself invisible and induced the barmaid to wash glasses, but there you go. All In all im gutted, we come to the bar several times throughout the year and normally it's great, I'm hoping this was a freak experience but we won't be back for a while just...

I chose this place to escape the general crowd of Borough Market. The food was displayed in front of the restaurant and after making my decision, I went to an empty table to sit. As I was passing by, a young waitress with blue eyes and glasses stopped me and told me to come to the entrance of the restaurant. At first I couldn't understand and was shocked, she told me very rudely that I shouldn't sit down before she seated me. I am Turkish and in my country this is considered very unprofessional in the service sector because customers come there to have fun and have a good time, not to be educated! It wasn't a big mistake and there was never any need for such a warning. I didn't let it bother me and ate my meal. The hamburger was nice but I can't say it was amazing. The funny thing is that a Spanish couple sat down in front of me in the same way and the same waitress came and warned them too, the couple was shocked and asked if they needed to get up. The waitress said no but be careful next time. I hope the owners of this place read this, if this is normal in your country, it's...

Awful burgers.

While I was eating the burger I realised it had lots of cartilage. I stopped at the third bite and analysed the burger closely and it was absolutely filled with cartilages.

I went to talk to the manager or owner, whoever the guy was. I tried to tell him what the problem was and he just cut my sentence off with: "I don't care what you're about to complain about just tell me how I could make this go away. "

That made me think twice about how much they care about costumers opinions. I told him I'm not able to eat the burger and he should take it back.

He said: "I'll give you the money back. How much did you pay for it?"

Of course I told the price was 8.50 but because I had already taken 3 bites out of it, £7 should do it.

He went inside and came back with the money and with the burger meat in his hands eating from it and said: "I'm eating from your burger and there is nothing wrong with it. We are known for our burgers."

The arrogance of the guy was indescribable and I will most certainly won't...
