Yesterday I went to eat with my family at the Paddington central zizzi’s, Sheldon Square. I have been before several times and always like the location. On arrival I was told it would be a 30 minute wait for food as they were so busy as it was the canal calvacade. I was ok with that. We sat down and waited and waited and waited...see where i’m going? It was a very long time till we even got asked if we wanted a drink. The waiter, think his name was Zoltan, took our drinks order and vanished. EVENTUALLY he came back and took my food order. He said there was no starters from the kids menu so I asked what he could give me as an alternative and got a blank expression...so I moved on. The starters for adults came and we finished them and still no food for the kids. I had to then ask for it. It came, cold. My son even fell asleep it took that long. The waiter didn’t clear table, didn’t ask if we were ok for drinks or if meal was ok. Such poor service. I was fuming by this point. The whole experience just spoilt my time/lunch with my family. I had to then leave table and approach someone to actually clear table and order ice creams from the kids menu. If it wasn’t for the ice creams being included in the menu I would have left. It took that long for anything to happen. In fact it took only 4 minutes for them to bring me my bill...funny that! Not ONE person came up to the table the entire 2 hours that I had to endure there. Awful experience. The manager came with bill and gave me excuse that they were one waiter down...that’s fair enough but it doesn’t excuse anything that went on. I expect a lot more, not even basic or common courtesy was given. I mean can’t you see table is full of empty glasses, finished plates etc when you eventually brought the kids their food yet you STILL didn’t clear any of it or ask for drinks etc. Thank god I had water with me!!!! Terrible experience, I’d think twice about coming to this branch of zizzi’s. It’s...
Read moreI just want to share my last night experience at Zizzi Paddington. The restaurant was very busy when me and my family arrived at the venue and, as a Restaurant Manger myself, I do understand the industry especially considering it was a Saturday night. I could have a feeling it would take a while for us to get our food. We sat down at 7.45,wait a while to even get somebody to approach the table and place our order. The drinks arrive quite quickly, but the food...??? Looking around every single table was getting frastreated. I approched various different staff members to get clarifications about the situation:I spoke with 4 different people and they have being quite reassuring about the matter. The end came after 2 our getting just our starter, which my brother being a gluten intolerant couldn't even nibble on. I tried to ask to prioritise his dishes, but nothing happened, therefore we decided to leave at 9.30. The offer from the staff was a drink on the house while we would have rather eat, so we declined the offer. I believe that whoever was in charge didn't managed the situation correctly as to begin with the Deliveroo tablet was switched off and, while several different tables were waiting to even get a single dish, at least 4 different Deliveroo riders came to collect different orders. The people in charged waited for guests to approach them rather than being proactive and go to talk to every single table. I know, from experience, that things could go wrong, but it depend how people try to manage tough situations. On top of everything we shouldn't have been charge for anything, but we even paid for the water bottle that missed the amount of a glass. I am quite shocked...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Zizzi - Paddington Central, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The restaurant is situated in a lively, scenic location, offering lovely views of the canal and a perfect ambiance for a relaxed meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a modern yet cozy decor that made me feel at ease immediately.
Upon entering, we were greeted by friendly staff who promptly showed us to our table. The service throughout the evening was attentive without being intrusive, with the team ensuring that we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
The menu offers a wide selection of Italian dishes, from classic pizzas and pastas to more innovative dishes that reflect a modern twist on traditional cuisine. I opted for the Rustica Piccante pizza, which was generously topped with spicy sausage, pepperoni, and fresh chillies, delivering the perfect balance of heat and flavor. My companion chose the Casareccia Pollo Piccante pasta, which was rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked with a great balance of spice and texture. Both dishes were beautifully presented and tasted delicious.
The drinks menu was equally impressive, offering a range of wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. We chose a refreshing bottle of Italian white wine that paired wonderfully with our meal.
To finish, we shared a Tiramisu, which was light, creamy, and the ideal way to end our meal. Overall, the experience at Zizzi - Paddington Central was fantastic. The combination of excellent food, attentive service, and a great location makes this restaurant a perfect spot for a casual lunch or a special evening out. Highly...
